A continuation of the Freeper Folder Thread
Interesting. One of my machines is a dual-core Intel and the other a dual-core AMD. Both have both cores running folding and both started approx. the same time. Here are the current results:
(read: Standing, Name, Points, WUs)
39 VICI 1080 10
40 vidi 1013 8
I'm assuming both have been issued different workloads since they were brought into the "fold".
Just went from 87 points to 868 points, so I guess I'm doing my part. Apparently this thing's going to keep feeding me 600 point units, since it turned right around and grabbed another 600 pointer - just call me the jumbo-block guy, I guess. ;)
Yeah, each workunit is only issued once, unless a workstation does an early work end, or the deadline expires.. in which case, they're remixed, and handed out again. Interesting reading on the Folding Forum, the work it takes to keep all of these unique workunits sorted, and ready for handing out..
I would, if I knew how to change it. oops. it was created on New Years eve, after all... :)
Welcome to the team "pokey"!! I wouldn't completely discount the older machines. I've got some 600 mhz w2k boxes, that are not only acting as file servers, but have been churning out points. Not as many as some of the hotrods, but slow and steady.
Ok lurkers... here's your chance. Download the client, and put those unused trons to work. Hmmmm lemme see, 500,000 x 46points per workunit x 2w/u's per week, thats 46,000,000 points by next Sunday.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall at Sanford, when THAT happens.
The Stanford pages update around 20min past the hour. The Fastteam URL probably has the most accurate team position, since it's almost realtime.
The other two stat pages that we use, extreme overclocking and fahstats, update every 3 hours, but are about an hour behind Stanford, because the records aren't released to 3rd party stat pages in real time.
Extreme overclocking, and fahstats.com both update every 3 hours. EOC starts at 12am CST, and fahstats starts at 6pm CST, (but runs in Greewich mean time).
I wonder if they have the Stanford band doing the programming?
I'd go for that.
If y'all talk nice, someday I may tell you the story of how that handle came about.

Durn... that means I'll have to go add another 100 tommorrow.

Just added my second G5. Please add me to your ping list. Thanks.
Ping the lists. No reason not to get involved in this. Good cause. Check it out for yourselves.
Thanks AR.
We need every computer we can find. Our goal is to be in the Top100.
No problem. I signed up already, and it looks like a good cause and a secure program. It's giving something back to the community without any effort or cost! How can you say no? The lists should be pinged.
*two thumbs up*
