My idea: at the next Freepathon, post a vanity thread to collect pledges on based on how many new people sign up (or how many new work units above average get done) within a time-window. Maximums accepted (like your $100) so no one breaks the bank.

Top 100 is very possible.
Just look at the list of new members. If we continue to add members at this rate, we'll have 500 computers in a few weeks.
As mentioned before, Team #100 only have 196 CPUs, we already have 275.

It won't get the large WU's, but on from 8-4pm, it should chew through the average WU in about 5 days, vice the usual 1 1/2 days...I'm starting my 4th unit. Why does it take others longer to fold?

I don't think this rate of adding team members is sustainable for long, but I've been Negative Nancy for long enough, so we'll just wait and see ;)

We can have over 500+ people and many participants with multiple 'puters IF we make it fun, and post instructions on how easy it is to play as people have been doing. This can be an activity for the most tech challenged FReeper but we need to keep letting them know how EASY it is. I've found the instructions and postings very informative and applaud those who have taken the lead to kick this off. NEWBIES WELCOME HERE

Huh, the Freepathon's started. If by any chance you want to do pledges of some sort, I'm in for $1 per new signup, max of $50. :o)

If there's 100,000 freepers, and all of them signed up tommorrow, and did a single 46 point workunit, that would give us a 4 million point boost by Wednesday. ROFLMAO ! Now THAT'S the kind of thinking I like. We can kick anybody's ass we really want to. When I joined this team, we did 7000 points that week, not per update, per week. Last week we did 82000 points. A 7 X increase in just 4 weeks. What will the next 4 weeks bring ?? Who knows, but hey,we can do it !!! Keep (and happy) Folding

NO. You didn't fix my spelling.
As my post made abundantly clear, the BROWSER benefits from a restart.
Don't attempt to change my words and then laugh about it.
Don't do it.

NVA has joined the team but with my older system, perhaps I should have registered as "pokey."
