CIA chief Porter Gus requested Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to provide military bases to the United States in 2006 from where they would be able to launch an assault.

I thought we already possess such bases in Iraq...and that obtaining them was one of the reasons we conquered that country.

If Bush doesn't already have a plan in place to strike Iran I would consider it an impeachable offense.
Now, all he has to do is keep Senator Rockefeller from visiting the Middle East so he can't use the opportunity to give all the local dictators a heads up on when and how Bush plans to do it.

We probably, nay hopefully, as a matter of national security always have a target list for any country that is important or even unimportant so we can always have a crippling strike capabilty if the time ever arises.
