House & Senate remain GOP...Patriots threepeat Super Bowl LX...Oscars lowest ratings ever...Santorum wins close re-election...Alito confirmed, no nuclear option needed...Guilliani emerges as front runner...
1) We will see a major lowering of troop levels in Iraq.
2) The Dems will attempt to nationalize the 06 elections using the Contract With America as a model.
3) They'll get to run on a national agenda alright, but they'll also LOSE with that agenda. They will become more shrill and more unhinged.
4) The price of oil will drop below $50 a barrel.
5) Alito will be easily confirmed to the SC with no need of a nuclear option.
6) Electionwise, with 1,2,3, and 4, we will see a filibuster-proof 60+ GOP seats in the Senate and a small gain in the house.
7) Justice Stevens will retire.
8) The Barrett report will be released in it's entirety and it won't make a lick of difference in Hillary's chances of winning anything.
9) Both Iran and Syria will begin to crumble. At least one will fall on its own.
Wild card teams that have won the Super Bowl: 1997 Broncos, '80 Raiders and '69 Chiefs.
Within 24 hours, Howard Dean and John Kerry both wet themselves.
2. Saddam will be sentenced to die after his conviction. He will then try to bargain for his life. He will offer to tell all about the WMDs in exchange for asylum in another Arab country. Some will say he's bluffing and there are no WMD, while others will say get the info and let him go. Ultimately, he will be offered clemency if he reveals "useful" information, but will not be allowed to leave Iraq.
3. GOP retains majorities in both houses of Congress.
4. In the 2 big Bowl games next week, Ohio State beats Notre Dame, then USC beats Texas.
5. In the NFL, a very inspired Colts team crush 3 straight opponents to win the Super Bowl. A very emotional Tony Dungy gives the most memorable post-Super Bowl speech ever.
6. Shortly after the Pro Bowl, Tony Dungy announces his retirement.
Hundreds of Tomahawk Missiles will rain down on Iran and its Nuclear Capability before December '06. Backed up by US, Coalition and Iraqi Armor, Air and Infantry.
Nancy Pelosi will suffer a stroke that leaves one side of her body paralized. No one will notice.

Parts of Teddy Kennedy's liver will replace Depleted Uranium used in Sabot Tank Rounds and Penetrating Missile Warheads.
The New York Times will face another round of lay-offs and open discussions with Tabloids to increase sales numbers.
Hillary will arrange for an "accident" to befall Bill before November, '06. In order to garner sympathy votes prior to the Senatorial elections.
Jack.
The media will hype hurricane season, and it will be a flop.
Prediction 2008 - Guiliani GOP nominee = Pres. Hillary!.
RUSH will be found to be 99.9999% correct breaking his old record of 99.99998%. With this news he will start broadcasting with 2/3 brain behind his back.
Here's a few possibilities:
1) B. Nettanyahu wins as Prime Minister of Israel - Iran's nuclear sites are taken out by Israel.
2) Kofi Annan ends his term as United Nations chief - some idiot from Europe takes his job

4) Robert Byrd forced to leave senate for health reasons
5) One or more senators (ie: Rockefeller, Wyden, etc) forced to resign from senate for charges of leaking intelligence.
6) Samuel Alito + one surprise judge confirmed to US Supreme Court
7) Tom Delay acquitted on all charges.
8) New whitehouse press secretary is put in charge. (retire Scott McClellan)
9) A former white house occupant passes away (not saying which one)
I assume you meant "first wild card team since...". But even that is wrong. Denver Broncos after the 1997 season and the Baltimore Ravens after the 2000 season.
After his liver explodes.
The liver was already gone by the late '70s. Stroke? How would we tell the difference?
The next three months will see more turmoil, tumult and tragedy. The following three months will be worse.
Who do you think the world will want to blame? For sure you know that people will blame, right?
Next up in the Social Wars, May '06: The Da Vinci Code
The Iraq war will continue to be a success
The GOP will maintain it's hold on the House and Senate, but will not gain enough of a majority to defeat filibusters.

there will be 18 named storms, 13 will become hurricanes in a moderately active Hurricane season.
Tom Cruise will ditch Katie Holmes after the birth of the baby.
Well, youself considered my posts as "funny" - and that was intended (simply look at the crybaby!).
I´m still convinced that the G4 will get their UN SC seats, but it´s not a prediction like having said that Merkel will become Chancellor (which happened) or that the Red-Green-era would be history (which also happened).
The specialty in this thread was that some of you (yourself included) provoked me defending my country and my countrys position. And I wanted to re-provoke, for instance if a change of government would make a difference. I think my crybaby post should have made very clear that I don´t support the crybaby-attitude of my former Foreign Minister.
Oh, and the EU "predictions"? Weren´t they true? The EU IS far from being united! It´s like a huge construction area, with 25 chiefs telling how to build the house.
