LONG LIVE RED CHINA (Would you like your troll mein with soft or crispy noodles?)

China will never go down, and don't think you can banish communism. Because the people won't let it. They know they are the last standing, they are the only ones left. America is in a decline while China's climaxing, America will go down. We are just done with our prime, if anything, we were going into a depression since 1992 (and don't say you don't know that year). Communism is the American's medias' worst nightmare, because of censorship. I hope we all have to read one newspaper and wipe my butt with one brand of tiolet paper. I hope we all die for our next generations to wear the red armband. We deserved 9/11, and they enjoyed it. You probably hate me now, I know, you just still think like its 1945, well too bad its 2005. We only stand to fall.

I guess not.

Y'all seemed so surprised I would be taking the tree down today.

I'll post a picture after we plant it.

:-)

"Stick your finger in the water, now pull it out. See how much of a hole that left?"

I have heard this theory before, and I disagree with it. If people were that unnecessary, they wouldn't have been hired in the first place.

I describe it as the inkwell theory. "Stick your finger in the inkwell, now pull it out. See how much of a hole that left?" -- True. Not much of a hole, but you still have a mess on your hands.

Not unnecessary but not irreplaceable either. A business built around the concept of irreplaceable people will fail.

People, good bright talented people are necessary but they must be replaceable. Otherwise they have to be on call 24/7/365. As no human can endure that kind of pace for long either you have a replaceable workstaff or you will soon have no workstaff at all.

I understand your point, and I agree with it.

All too often, however, Management is willing to replace people for inadequate reasons. Many seek to operate in a climate of fear. This I believe is counter-productive.

Experienced employees should not lightly be cast aside. An example is clerical employees, who are normally paid a low hourly wage.

Even so, it is the experienced employee who learns to spot thieves and shoplifters, while newer employees are blind to it. Keeping the experienced help is well worth the minor demands such folk make in terms of adjustments in their schedule for growing families and such.

Of course they are replaceable, but not without a cost.

Very true. And ironically in doing that they make their employees strive to be "irreplaceable" which will shoot them down the path to failure faster then anything else.

People who strive to be irreplaceable do not work well with others killing the team concept and they tend to be secretive about how they do things which means if they are unavailable for some reason their systems fall apart.

I have always felt there were only three reasons for firing someone, either they do not work, they will not learn or they are sowers of discord. So, ironically I will fire someone who strives to be irreplaceable but will retain those who do not.

Creating a climate of fear is beyond counter productive IMHO.

Hey, Gartman...here's why China will go down (USA not far behind):

Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Yet again, EVERYBODY is a god in Japan.

"Stick your finger in the water, now pull it out. See how much of a hole that left?"

I think it's a great lesson about how small we all are, in the scheme of things.

Humility.

"anedote"?

did you mean "anecdote" or "antidote"?

not that it matters, as you are well and truly ZOTted by now, rendering the denotation of your UserID -however spelled- as "mud"
