China will never go down, and don't think you can banish communism. Because the people won't let it. They know they are the last standing, they are the only ones left. America is in a decline while China's climaxing, America will go down. We are just done with our prime, if anything, we were going into a depression since 1992 (and don't say you don't know that year). Communism is the American's medias' worst nightmare, because of censorship. I hope we all have to read one newspaper and wipe my butt with one brand of tiolet paper. I hope we all die for our next generations to wear the red armband. We deserved 9/11, and they enjoyed it. You probably hate me now, I know, you just still think like its 1945, well too bad its 2005. We only stand to fall.

In some states, the constitution can be changed by popular vote.

In some of those states, the question of reconstructing the constitution comes up on the ballot every 20 years or so in a simple question such as: Should the state of X revise the current constitution?

Once upon a time, Louisiana had the record, but they had a constitutional convetion and started over.

I've never lived in one of those states. We always had constitutional amendments one at a time on the ballot - or sometimes four or five at a time, for the most piddling stuff!

When Oklahoma became a state, they submitted their constitution to the national government for approval, and President Theodore Roosevelt said something like, "That is the WORST governing document I have ever seen!"

Usually it's hardcore gamers that live alone--but not always. Consider yourself fortunate.

I'm sure it has its strong points. We don't have any binding referenda in North Carolina, and I don't recall seeing Constitutional amendment on the ballot, either.

Ballot initiative is only good as long as the state Supreme Court doesn't override the outcome, as in California. We've done one Constitutional amendment--gay marriage--in the last few years. Everything else has been casinos, education, and all that rot.

But, on the positive side of things, you only need so many signatures to get something up for a vote.

How're things?

I managed to reach the end of the mandatory training class, so I can get back to trying to make sure things are ready for the meeting in a couple of weeks (they aren't, and are far from it)... but in the meantime I've now been signed up for speaking engagements in Anchorage and New Delhi next month. Visa, shots, more sitting on airplanes... ugh.

But I might end up with some more nice photos for y'all, if I can get some extra time to look around.

Das have you ever played Alpha Centari? It really is the continuation of Civ2. I still play it. Wish Sid would come up with Alpha Centari2.

Civ 2 was my first love. My very first PC game. Civ3 not so much for some reason but this one.. oh my! I am going to be spending much of the winter playing Civ4 I think.
