Bottom line is that the land of Israel belongs to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and thier descendants as promised long long ago. This land was to be divided ONLY amongst the 12 tribes of Judah. It is NOT a bargaining chip. NOBODY has right s to the land God gave to his chosen people, the Jews.
Ariel Sharon may have been a great general in his day, but as a politician he has done and was to do more of the one thing he should have known better NOT to do, give away land that not his to give away.
Now, I ask you this. If you owned some property somewhere, and somebody came along and started giving it away, wouldn't you be pretty pissed off about it? Of course you would. Same thing here. Sharon was giving away Gods property and he's pissed about it.
Oh good grief..now you speak for GOD and know he is 'pissed'? So, who did God give England to? This is a slippery slope argument you are casting about here in the name of religion. You are entitled to your opinion of course, but I would be careful in speaking for the Lord.
Look, the bible is extremely clear when it comes to Israel. I know what it says, do you? If you don't or if you only know parts and pieces than I suggest you read up.
Here's to a quick recovery. I'll go back to attacking his policies and rhetoric when he's recovered.
Israel is not a theocracy though and polls have shown that the majority of Israeli's want a two state solution. You think Israel should be run like a theocracy according to the bible?
Polls also showed that the liberals would win by a landslide last election, the landslide buried them. Polls in Israel are useless as they are held by leftists.
The Bible also speaks of virgin birth, talking donkeys and snakes, trees with magic fruit, people living to be 900+ years old, etc. Literal interpretation of these things makes one look like a loony.
The Israelis are merely tured of the terrorists attacks and are at the point of being willing to anything and everything to try and make it stop. They try this, they try that, and nothing works. Giving away more land WILL NOT work either.
They want ONE thing, the elimination of Israel period. There will NEVER be peace between the 2 sides until one or the other side is gone. It's that simple. And to achieve that, the return of Jesus Christ is the only one who'll be able to do it.
And then,YES Israel and the world for that matter will be a theocracy ruled by Christ himself from Jerusalem. This is also quite clear.
Personally, I couldn't imagine things any better than that.
A just and true ruler for all mankind thats impossible to corrupt with lobbyists and money.
I'm looking forward to a world with no corrupt partisan politics. Where news is good and impossible to spin.
penelopesire, you shouldn't be like the rats and view a perfect theocracy as a bad or negative thing. Man is by nature foulable and if he tried to run a theocracy it would be sure to fail sooner or later. But done right by God who is in-foulable it will truely be heaven on earth.

No doubt. It would appear that the leftist media is a universal phenom. Israel has tried many approaches to find peace for their children and grandchildren. What I find distasteful are the people here and elsewhere, that have turned on Sharon like rabid animals. This man has served his country his entire life..he is entitled to broker for peace if he can manage it. He is no old fool and more than likely, he understands that this too will fail because the Palistinians are hopelessly mired in hate and corruption.
However, when it fails and the Palistinians are shown to be incapable of running a successful 'State'..who are all the lefties/terrorists gonna blame it on then?
Get my drift? They will not be able to blame it on Israel..because Israel went above and beyond in her efforts for peace. Let the Palistinians fail and let the world see it happen over the next few years. Meanwhile..keep building the fence. Just my two cents.

Look, I agree that giving away land for peace will not work and I am well aware of that the Palistinians/Iran and most Arabs want the 'destruction of Israel' and the US & Israel will never allow such a travesty to occur.
FTR..Jesus Christ will return to be KING ON EARTH..which sounds more like a monarchy to me..(wink)
