CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts (AP) -- A former MIT professor and multimillionaire businessman who has been praised for his riveting lectures but also known for his family disputes was ambushed outside his office and shot multiple times, authorities said Saturday.
John J. Donovan was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital after the shooting Friday night and later released, hospital spokesman Arch MacInnes said Saturday.

Justice can sometimes require violence and be technically 'criminal' but it is not wrong to desire or seek Justice. Justice is a good thing.
I've run a lot of ammo thru my little raven, and I have not had that happen yet. Maybe my hand is smaller or something. I see where that could definitly be a problem aspecially if the slide got a burr on it somehow.

One would think he'd invest in at least a armored up suburban and a 3 man security detail along with some kevlar fashion wear if he's got that much money and that many enemies.......
Yea, but with a name like Donovan, maybe he has a few of "Wild Bill's" genes.
At the very least, he could learn to park someplace where it isn't dark and isolated.
After being shot several times? Must have been a kid with a pellet gun.
Dang, this shooting occured right next door to my college dorm. CEE is right next door to the dorm so its more or less on the MIT campus. I walked by everyday and I always wondered what went on there. It always seemed a little suspicious especially the high tech enclosed gated parking lot right next to it.
Makes me wonder if the good prof. didn't set this up as a publicity stunt.
