CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts (AP) -- A former MIT professor and multimillionaire businessman who has been praised for his riveting lectures but also known for his family disputes was ambushed outside his office and shot multiple times, authorities said Saturday.

John J. Donovan was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital after the shooting Friday night and later released, hospital spokesman Arch MacInnes said Saturday.

Obviously i disagree... Soros, Kerry, Dean, Kennedy,
Pelosi, Fonda, Schumer, Micheal Gross, etc...it'd be
like hearing Hitler had been killed.

Don't knock the raven.

It was not my intention to knock the Raven.

I used it as a example of a pistol with very limited bullet weight and muzzle velocity but easily concealed.

The kind of weapon that an individual might chose for this kind of attack.

The Raven even with its limited bullet weight and short barrel at close range should be able to accomplish the task if used correctly. That is a well placed shot should have dispatched the millionaire.

Per the Boston Globe: "The former professor called 911 himself after he was shot while in a parking lot outside his company's office near the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus, Pasquarello said. Donovan was found inside a white minivan. The parking lot is gated and in an isolated area. It did not have security cameras."

He was in a secured area when he was shot by some "white male" It's also not the first time someone took a shot at him. Two years ago someone shot at his house with a rifle.

"There's plenty of Europeans ( mostly former Eastern Block ) who have an ax to grind with Soros. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see someone from there settle the score with him."

AND JAPAN TOO! Soros is persona non grata throughout the world except in the Democrat party - which he now owns.

He had what appeared to be a bullet fragment lodged in his belt buckle.

The perp could only be identified as a white male.

The guy shoots you several times from the front in a parking garage, but all you can say is he is white and male?

I assume the attacker uses a pistol because otherwise the millionaire would certainly be much more seriously injured.

With a pistol in a parking garage you would need to be less than 50 feet to have a clean shot (probably less than 25).

At that range the millionaire should be able to get a much better look at the attacker.

The police are not doubt withholding information on the attacker for some reason.

Your free to agree or disagree. Seems your list is a bit short though. Don't you mean to include everyone you perceive who is different from you, or believes differently than you do, so that the whole world is populated with only people exactly like you and the rest can just ....I don't know, get killed and die? Perhaps we can just march them off to concentration camps and have a little "shake 'n bake".

Comparing the people on your list to Hitler, the bane of the world in the 20th century demeans you, and makes Hitler's crimes against humanity seem insignificant. Believe me, they weren't/aren't insignificant and never will be. It makes me furious when the lefty idiots compare President Bush and anyone else they disagree with, with Hitler. It makes me no less angry when a conservative does the same thing. God save us from another genocidal maniac!

Nope! I hate traitors. And yes, my list is abbreviated.
But hardly as long as you imply, nor as irrational.
Some people need killin. Not *most*, as you want to
imply me as wanting. You sound like a Democrat, allways
using irrational extremes to justify your acts, or your defense of acts committed by evil people.

DemoSocialists and the ACLU plague rats, with their
phoney "Humanisism" & "Social Justice" (AKA Socialist Tyranny)are attempting to strip all morality and
faith from society, to make governhment the maker
and giver of societies mores, instead of the other
way around, to in turn, allow for the rise of a
Socialist Democrat Peoples Party State..Where one
dare not question what the state says is "moral" or
be sentanced to prison for a "hate crime" or a
sanatarium for being mentally disturbed and a danger to society...which will in turn, allow for the rise of
a new Hitler or Stalin..just like it did before...

So you see, it is the Democrats, and people like you, who refuse to speak out, and defend our way of life from further and firther being devolved into depravity, that are paving the way for the return of the Death Camps. Howard Dean, stinks of death camp, right through the TV screen.

Your the one who compared "your" joy of them dying to the joy of Hitler dying, not me. "Some people need killin"? Surely you don't advocate someone killing those people?

And spare me the accusation of being a Democrat to justify your disagreement with me. I believe in the death penalty, but I also believe in a trial and not some nutcase offing someone by shooting them or lynching them. Guess that makes me a law-abiding citizen who thinks that anyone who randomly kills someone or advocates it is a bit on the wrong side of this great country and what our soldiers are fighting for in Iraq. Even Saddam gets a trial, and if the world is just, he'll receive the punishment he so richly deserves for "offing and advocating the offing" of those who disagreed with him.

I agree. They also don't say if the attacker ran to a car or did he just run out of the area. It's a secured area so how is it secured? High fence with access controlled gates or just a swing arm at the gate to control traffic, etc.

Sorry, you lost me on that one. I'm only advocating for "rule of law". I had no idea that by doing so, it made "people like me" pave the way "for the return of the Death Camps". In fact I learned, and please correct me if I'm wrong, that Hitler didn't try Jews before he executed them.

BTW, I don't refuse to speak out, I think that's obvious.

I do not advocate extrajudicial executions.
But i'm not going to cry when i see people
i consider to be traitors, enemies of my country
or people of other various evil natures, getting
what i believe they deserve. I not only will not
cry, i will be happy that one or more of the
Devils Own, has been sent to him.

You seem to think that Hitler and Stalin are somehow
unique. They ween't. they were only the most prolific
at what they did that Humanity has seen in a few
centuries. What they did, was done before, and can,
be way too easily be, not only duplicated but
surpassed in such a large margin, as to make his
name no longer the pre-emminent icon of Evil, but
relegate him to a status that Mussolini now holds
in the worlds pantheon of Evil Leaders. And then,
the next one's name will become the ultmate
"human monster".

No....Hitler was not unique at all.

I worked at a pawn shop for over 7 1/2 years where I had to clean ALL the guns that were taken in. The little Raven is OK, but the Jennings .22 and the .25 have a little bit of a guard which elevates the slide up from the hand between your thumb and index finger that helps out A LOT when you go to shoot it.

For someone that has ever shot a Raven for the first time and had the slide laying on the skin portion of that part of your hand before you shot it might know what I'm talking about.....

You got that right. My guess is this is a contract hit by a family member if the CNN article is any indication. Had a similar deal once before only it was the yard guy who beat in the wealthy victims head with a baseball bat. What a mess.
