Since there clearly haven't been enough vanities around here today, I figured I weigh in with one:
What are your three favorite Christmas Movies of all time?
Me, I'm going with:
3. A Christmas Carol (staring Patrick Stewart, 1999)
2. A Very Brady Christmas (yes I'm serious)
1. It's A Wonderful Life (one of the finest films of all time)
Alright FReepers, time to opine...
Owl_Eagle
"You know, I'm going to start thanking
the woman who cleans the restroom in
the building I work in. I'm going to start
thinking of her as a human being"
*The* best part of the movie!
That squirrel episode is great..one of the ladies faints, the old feeble aunt and uncle sit in their chairs as if nothing is happening, and the rest of the family is running around...I like the ending of the squirrel episode, where Clark throws the squirrel out the door at the exact time that the snooty gal neighbor from across the street starts to knock on Clarks front door...she gets a Christmas surprise present of a scared, threatening, scratching squirrel thrown right onto her boobies...
But.... Groundhog day is in February....
"The Exorcist" is not a Christmas movie.
That looks creepy! It looks more like an old "Outer Limits" episode!
Anything with snow works.
A Christmas Carol (Alistair Sim version)
Holiday Inn
The Honeymooner's Christmas Episode (When Ralph buys the box to keep hair pins in for Alice)
Amos and Andy Christmas Special (When Andy gets a job in a dept. store playing Santa Claus)
Sure it is!
If I watch it at Christmas -- it's a Christmas movie (and IIRC, some of it happens during Christmastime)>
It's on the Cartoon Network.
You're close, he's from A Year Without A Santa Claus and he is Heat Miser. The one you were thinking about was his step brother, Cold Miser and they fought like crazy and their mom was Mother Nature. They are a hoot.
(chortle)
I have to watch that again.
:-)
One of my favorites is "Three Godfathers."
Directed by John Ford. The cast includes John Wayne, Pedro Armendariz, Harry Carry Jr., Ward Bond, Mildred Natwick, and Ben Johnson.
Scarface
#1 one magic christmas
#2 trapped in paradise
#3 ziggys's gift (i think thats what its called anyway ziggy is in it)
It ain't Christmas Ceason until the Wife and I have watched a version of the Christmas Carol. The 1951 - Alastair Sim version is our favorite but Patrick Stewart's version was good and the Muppets are fun.
I'm an "Exorcist" fan. Do you mean the party that Chris has, with the astronaut? Was that a Christmas party?
I know the movie starts around Halloween. . .
The scenes you mentioned are favorites of our family. In fact, we bougth a candle thingy that looks like the tree-topper for that reason.
