Senator Calls on Bush to Take Down Attack AD
Drudge Report ^ | 12/10/05 | Drudge

Today, Senator Daniel Inouye, the Ranking Member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee and a recipient of the Medal of Honor for his service in World War II, released the following statement:

"As a Veteran of World War II, I know what it’s like to fight a war and put your life on the line every day. I also know what it takes to win a war, and I know that politics and an attack machine like the President’s plays no part in it.

"The Republican Party’s latest ad is a shameful and disgusting attempt to distract the American people from the problems in Iraq. It may improve the President’s political fortunes, but the American people and our troops will pay the price. I hope that President Bush realizes how shameful it is to play politics when what we really need is leadership, and that he will direct his Party to take down this ad immediately."

It is a sure sign that the ad is paying off big dividends and must be "killing" DemocRATS in their internal polling. It is time to triple the buy.

Danny I. is tarnishing his well-deserved medal of honor when he sides with the treasonous Dean against our troops. However, Danny I. is getting to be very old and may not even know what the ad is saying.

I am a parent who worries night and day about my son in Iraq.

I am a parent who beams with pride that my son is fighting for you freedom, the Iraqi's freedom and my freedom.

And I will fight for the honor of any brave American who has shown that they will do the same. The Sen. is one of those people. I am 180 degrees opposite in his view of the Iraqi Liberation, but I feel obliged to defend his honor since he is only saying he doesn't think the war should be politicized. The President agreed with him until a few days ago. Personally, I agree with what the President is doing, but I can understand the Senator's position.

Actually, the republicans need to start a huge ad campaing to get this ALL OVER the TV. (not that I'm holding my breath for that to happen).

I believe that IS Ken Mehlman's response to this expected uproar... At least it's close to what he said before Inouye piped up.

I thought it was perfect!

Though few needed to see it,tens of millions now will from all the outrage of the Left. I LOVE these kind of things.

It may improve the President’s political fortunes, but the American people and our troops will pay the price.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

And here we get to the truth of the matter.

The President a) is calling them out on their 'cut and run' treasonous statements and b) it's effective.

I suggest if the Democrats do not want the American people to know how low they've sunk, that they shut up. Otherwise their words are fair game. Fair Game on al Jazeera, Fair game among the terrorist's camps...

In short, to quote another Democrat, SHUT UP DEMS. I don't give a damn about the politics. I suppose if I did I might like Howard Dean as your Chairman. I do give a damn about our troops and winning this war. I don't view war as something that should be partisan. Stop the running of the mouth commentary that would have got you strung up on the gallows in years past or expect to be shown to the People for the snakes you are.

Whenever you quote back the words of a Moonbat, it is ALWAYS considered an attack. Don't you people get it?

The following is a special message for anyone who plays the Kerry clip where he refers to our armed forced coming into homes at night and terrorizing the women and children of Iraq: PLAY THE ENTIRE CLIP where the idiot goes on to say "THAT'S THE JOB OF THE IRAQI'S". Without the entire clip, it is not his ACCURATE quote. Oooo, I guess I just "attacked" Kerry with his own words. Senator In-No-Way, my deepest apologies.

Another Demo hiding behind his "service". I don't care if he has served or not. He's still a moron and has no more credibility than the rest.

My Response to Senator Inouye:

With Much Respect for your Service to this Great Nation, I feel your call for President Bush to retract the GOP ad disgraceful. I am the son and a father of Veterans, and the words used in the ad were those of your fellow Democrats. Howard Dean saying that we cannot win this war and John Kerry calling our troops "terrorists" are the problem. Maybe you time would be better spent schooling your fellow democrats in the fine art of patriotism. You understand that better than most Americans with your exemplary service to this country. The attack mode of the extreme left, which has coopted your party sir, is responsible for far more disrespect to this nation and it's military men and woman serving on the field of battle. I hope that you reconsider your words and return your party to one of respectability.

With Great, Great Regard

The troops love the ad :) They only see it as hurting the waffling Dems.

Senator Whine-ouye wouldn't have this problem if the likes of Dean and Kerry would learn to stick a sock in it. Do they really expect the GOP to ignore all the ammunition spewing out of their mouths?

I do not have a son in Iraq.

I have both family and friends serving.

I pray for them daily.

I will not use that link to them or the daily worry I feel for them as a excuse to defend any veteran who dishonors a younger generation by standing by and allowing them to be undermined.

You should not either.

Dear Senator Inouye: I hope that President Bush realizes how shameful it is to play politics when what we really need is leadership,

Would that be the same sort of "leadership"that lead to civilians planning bombing strategies from inside the Oval Office during Vietnam???

We all know all too well that worked!

President Bush is "leading" in a way that shames nearly all Democrats. He's letting the Generals run the war. Something your party hasn't done since WWII.

I also remember your Holier-Than-Thou performance during "Iran-Contra", Senator. Just throw in the towel and raise the white flag of surrender with all of the rest of your spineless, buck o'pus ilk.

It's obvious that you and your can dish it out, but you sure as Hell can't take it!

Jack.

Where is he dishonoring our brave relatives? He is simply saying don't politicize the war. You might be (as I am) against that view, but it doesn't dishonor our guys.

DITTO! It escapes them that when Bush does display "leadership" the Dems respond by "playing politics".

That is one of the best political ads I have ever seen the GOP do. If they keep this up, I might just change my affiliation from I to R.
