Wasn't a knee-capping - he broke his thighbone (?!?).
Certainly not the usual mob calling card - whacking someone close to him like Cipel would be much more up their alley.

I grew up in the Episcopal Church before I became a Catholic many years ago. Actually, what has happened is very sad. I got a great deal from my experiences as an Episcopalian, from the services and from neighbors in the pew when I was a boy, before things really went sour at the top.

No one claimed it was during a routine act of sodomy. It occurred during the course of an illicit sexual encounter and there are various theories.
Pretty much every theory agrees that a rentboy was involved.
To: dead
It was one of McGreeveys dozens of other roughboys.
Does that make McGreevey a "power bottom"?

As someone who grew up Episcopal, it hurts me to see the church become a haven for those who don't live Christian lifestyles.

So you say that McGreevey met his boylover 2 weeks after he proposed marriage to his wife? He truly is a disgusting sodomite.
He used his wife & child as cover to hide his gay life with hookers and get his miserable leftist self elected Govenor.

"with his political positions "also his other 'positions' did not meet with Catholic approval. Well our gain, their loss.

I am not going to read a single reply to this thread, because I would just have to lose my temper.
Jim McGreevey has been attending my church and has been welcomed.
If anybody here has a problem with that, perhaps they should re-examine their own hearts.

Don't have a problem with it.
You want him, you're welcome to him.
Actually, it's better for all concerned, especially McGreevey, because he was living a lie pretending to be a Catholic while violating numerous tenets of the Church (and thus receiving the Eucharist while in a state of mortal sin, something that St. Paul had a few words to say about.)

I learned about all this from Father Corapi. If you publicly take a position against what the Church teaches or believes as a body, or even if you take it privately, it's called apostasy, and you are an apostate. If you are an apostate, it is not necessary for the church to excommunicate you. You have ipso facto done it to yourself. Therefore it is called ipso facto excommunication, meaning "by that very fact" excommunicated.Fr. Corapi is excellent! And you are correct.

McGreevey, a Rahway resident, would not say whether his attendance at the two Episcopal churches signaled a break from the Roman Catholic Church, and he declined to answer additional questions posed by a reporter. Why Rahway? I figured ManGravey would prefer certain parts of Asbury Park or would move across the Hudson to Chelsea or Fire Island Pines.

Par for the course in Sopranostan.
That being said, MacGreevey's hot Portuguese ex-wife needs some comforting from a certain Freeper. Anyone know of her whereabouts?

She is indeed a very attractive woman and she is apparently living in a nice house in Union county and commuting to a cushy political consulting job in the Ironbound.
She is supposed to be very much back on the dating scene.

At least he is being honest that he doesn't believe Catholic teching and embraces the gay activist ECUSA. Would that more dissenters would be so honest rather than trying to undermine the Catholic faith from within.
To: gridlock
Well, I see that St. Barts has an active lesbian and gay fellowship, but I couldn't find a website for the Church of the Holy Comforter in Rahway. One directory listing did show it as having a priestess.
