I agree, Carolyn. Gabler looked insane. I think he was "this" close to shouting "I hate Bush! Impeach him or we will all die!!"

You are dead on..

The key is HOW DO WE DO THAT...

and the AMA being involved would be great...

I have some ideas... first though- when you mention good doctors being wrongly sued- it isn't just the doctors... one patient has a complaint goes to an attorney and then 100 hospital employees suddenly need a lawyer because everyone on duty that day is named... withint weeks the names drop off to about 4 or 5- but meanwhile, good, hardworking people lose their jobs, pay attorney fees, worry beyond belief... sad....

I think we make a law that says 3 strikes you are out... if an attorney brings a case and it it thrown out - then that is one strike...3 stirkes- you lose you license to practice...

That was introduced here in GA- BY A TRIAL ATTORNEY, YET! ( A republican one...) and the insurance companies lobbied hard and said NO WAY! THey knew this included THEM! THe HYPOCRISY of the Insurance companies is amazing... I truly believe that other than terrorists and border control- Insurance is the biggest threat to our country...

lots of ways to deal with this...but we shouldn't get our reps in the mindset that they can protect certain classes and punish others.... not good... dangerous, slippery slope...

We watch the military channel a lot. Last week, we listened/watched the men who went in to rescue wounded soldiers in Vietnam. The bravery and daring of these men took our breath away.
There are few words to describe our pride in the military of times gone by and today.
I agree with you about not being able to fathom the hatred the leftists/MSM have for our brave soldiers.
As an aside, we spent Saturday at the Reagan library. What a great man he was, and what pride he had for our military and our country.
We came away feeling very humbled.

I'm proud to say I voted for him four times... twice as Governor and twice for President. He was a great man, indeed.

beverage temps were a big topic of conversation when I lived at Rhinedahlen......ours were always boiling hot (coffee & tea) or brain freeze cold (beer, soda, wine, hi-balls, etc.)....I got the feeling that we overused ice for my Brittish guest's taste :)

I have to say I was disappointed in the Pres Bush representative, Stephen Hadley, security adviser, who seemed unable to address the Cheney quote that Wallace put out for him to reconcile with the current state of the war in Iraq. Cheney said that the enemy was in the throes of defeat and Wallace seemed to conclude that this meant that we should have conclusively defeated them by now. I just wanted to shake the guy and tell him to respond that 'throes' is a condition, not a time certain for anything. I finally looked up the definition and came up with 'agonized struggle or effort'. Which certainly describes the situation in Iraq as of now. Cheney was correct and no need to dodge the question or give the impression that Cheney was wrong in his assessment of the status of the war. I skipped Boxer and haven't had a chance to get back to the rest of the tape because spouse is watching a game on one TV and has me recording another on my computer room one. Men and their toys!!!

Now I understand why I haven't seen that movie. But it did have some very good reviews so I ordered it along with "Wedding Chasers" and "40 year old virgin". The other two are yet to be released but they will be soon.

Fantastic post, tarheelswamprat! Rush catches the media in lies all the time. And with the Internet, it's so much easier for us. The best example of this that readily comes to mind is Buckhead's analysis of the fake TANG documents. As "National Security Adviser," Hadley is paid to defend this country's national security--not to bend over and grab his ankles.

Well, you gotta have a little fun!
That's better that hooking up a lawyer in a fighting belt and having him fight a rock in a strong current for an hour and then cutting the line cause he couldn't bring him in.

Ex husbands get to pull the anchor only we stick it in the rocks so hard it could not possibly come out. After they try for about 15 or 20 minutes in 95 degree heat we pull out the anchor ball slide it on and pull it out with the boat. By then they are too exhausted to know what is going on. Plus they are real quiet for the rest of the day.
