"What makes Bush a conservative?" Savage asked when I got him on the phone the other day. "On the economy, Bush has got more governmental workers than anybody before him. He's ballooned the government." As regards the so-called "war on terror," Savage points out that you can't win a war when you're afraid even to name the enemy.
"He's never mentioned Islamofascism," said Savage.
I have to agree.

"The Bushbots don't think so. On their Web sites, they call Savage a bigot and a racist, two terms the employment of which generally indicate that the speaker is losing an argument." Or is a democrat.

"We're supposed to be watchdogs, not lapdogs." Well said, Michael Savage.
Most of those who criticize Michael Savage do so because they are just so darn embarrassed on what Bush has done, and the very accurate comments Savage makes about those Bush actions. The more embarrassed the "lapdogs" become, the more they criticize Savage.
Michael Savage tells it the way it is.

I am more than a little tired of self-proclaimed experts, on the left and the right, who denounce those who disagree with their divinely appointed and thoroughly unassailable opinions as "robots" and "mindless." Believe it or not, there are intelligent people in this world that can and do disagree with Michael Savage and Michael Moore.

Savage, right wing? Thats an insult to right wingers. He is more a ding-a-ling. Seriously, he should follow the instructions on his medication more carefully. Sanity is achievable, even for Savage.

Michael Savage is tolerable for about 15 minutes. He needs to take his Meds on a more regular basis instead of the herbal crap he takes.

Michael Savage resonates.
He resonates by sticking his head up his butt and listening to the echo of his own voice.

The scorn directed at Mike Savage is nothing less than shame of Western society, programmed feelings of liberal guilt directed toward our very culture -- feelings that were instilled through public policy, social engineering, and top-down control of the media. We are scared to be proud for fear that we might be wrong, might be hateful, might be violent or racist - despite that we are none of those things.

He has some points. Bush is not overly conservative, and yet I think Savage is also full of it on some of this. I have always enjoyed listening to Rush, and don't disagree with him very often, but I know I'm not an unthinking Bushbot so to speak. He is our president, and going along with everything he does is not good, but neither is criticizing the war etc. because that plays right into the hands of liberals which is definitely the worse of the two (Bush and liberals) Going to war in Iraq (if allowed to be finished by the troops and not politicians) was a great thing for the future. What did Savage expect us to do in Iraq anyway? Force them all to adopt Christianity? Of course their government will include Islamic law, they'll never agree to a government that doesn't. Savage ought to know that. I think sometimes Savage says these things just to be different, but he really sounds liberal criticizing the war like that. Any thoughts from anyone?

As the old saying goes, Savage is one brick short of a full load.

As regards the so-called "war on terror," Savage points out that you can't win a war when you're afraid even to name the enemy. "He's never mentioned Islamofascism," said Savage. As mentioned, Bush actually did use the word last month, but I'd have to give that one to Bush. Does Hitchens's trendy journalistic formulation really add much to the discussion?
