"There is no college in Rush. He's a high school dropout. It's like listening to an uneducated, unthinking man on the radio."

Michael.... your envy is showing.

Michael.... your envy is showing.

Everytime my husband and I try to listen to Savage we get soooo turned off by his envy of Rush. It's not an intellectual disagreement, its just plain old ugly envy. That's all we hear when we listen to Savage.

That may be what irks me the most about Savage. He seems so jealous of Rush, Hannity, Laura and the other more successful conservative talk show hosts.

Rush and Hannity and William Bennett, Laura, and all the conservative hosts have been going after Bush for too much spending, poor border control and especially the previous nomination to the supreme court. They don't criticize each other and rarely even mention one another by choosing to focus on their own show. Savage is more a 5th column than someone I trust. I think he hurts conservatism more than helps. JMHO

Rush may not be able to recite Plato from memory, but he's DAMN sure good at what he does. Kind of like a pro athlete who skipped college, went straight to the pros, and never looked back. Rush's grasp of economics is better than 99.9% of the general population, and better than all 535 elected representatives of the people who make our laws.

I've listened to both Rush and Savage, and I'll take Rush any day. Plus, Rush is sane.

I try to listen to savage, but he is just so envious of good talk-show host. My parents always taught me that you never rise up, by attempting to bring others down. He should have been taught that also. He also rants about his superior education. I had a teacher in high school that had a Doctorate in History. Couldn't tie his own shoes, boil water, or communicate with a classroom. We considered him an idiot. Edge-u-katchion ain't everythang.

Additionally he rants on and on about how top officials won't come on his show to be interviewed. Once again, placing his importance a little above itself.

Savage is also dangerous in his ability to circulate inaccurate information. E.g., Rush is not a high school dropout. College dropout, not high school.

Frankly, Savage's hostile tone makes me uncomfortable. I never know when he's going to explode about some minor point, and then I don't know if it's sincere or theatrical. Listening to him reminds me of late-night talk radio and some of the off-the-wall dj's that would say anything to get someone to call in.
