Ex-Cowboy Michael Irvin Arrested in Texas Nov 27 7:53 PM US/Eastern Email this story

PLANO, Texas

Former Dallas Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after police searched his vehicle during a traffic stop, Plano police said Sunday.

Irvin, an ESPN analyst and semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for speeding in Irving after being pulled over Friday afternoon for speeding in Plano, the Plano Police Department said. Police spokesman Mike Johnson said he didn't know what kind of paraphernalia was found.

Irvin paid a fine on the speeding ticket and posted bond on the drug paraphernalia possession charge. He was released about an hour after he was pulled over.

"We are reviewing the facts of the situation and have no comment at this time," ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said.

He was on Rush's side, because he's been down the prosecution railroad before too. It doesn't mean he's not guilty of this charge, but it just means that we should all have taken a lesson from Tom DeLay and Rush Limbaugh before we rule someone guilty or innocent.

I can't decide whether it is worse to listen to him or to Shannon Sharpe.

Rogers was the top draft pick of Ford (as in car family). Year 1 broken collarbone-out for the season. Year 2 broke other collarbone-out for the season. Year 3 busted for coke-suspended for 4 games but out for 5. In the meantime Michigan built Ford a new stadium. Moral....Buy anything but a Ford vehicle. Bill Ford is following in his granpas (Henry) footsteps, and history tells a great story about him

I wonder if former drug runner Nate Newton will be his cellmate? Moving to the striped 'White House'?

Doesn't Tom DeLay ring a bell.

But Delay never played for the Cowboys. Wasn't he with the Oilers before they moved? /sarcasm>

I hated Jordan when he was kicking butt on my Rams. You're right, he was a force against the whole league & deserves a ballot to the hall of fame.
Irvin's history at ESPN.

I am sorry for ever confusing a Tide man with that other school. I should know better than that.

My Vols had some backers back in that day - Hacksaw Reynolds; Paul Neumoff; Steve Kiner; Craig Puki;

Them boys would hit! May have been a bit after Lee Roy's day - but SEC football is the stuff!!

I don't think he is an idiot.

I don't know the man and I doubt you do either.
