FWIW, Seymour Heirsch of The NewYorker is on Late Edition with Wolfe Blitzer, totally unchallenged, stating Iraq is getting worse and worse.
Nothing to back it up, just worse and worse. Blitz is of course letting him go on and on.
Pitiful.

Had to stop reading FR to watch this. Wallace nailed Levin for the lies he's been telling. Then, Wallace nailed Levin on his refusal to admit he was wrong about President Bush lying, and that he, Levin, still believed the lies. This was great!

No, I'm not kidding. This was the caliber of panelists on Face the Nation this morning.

As I understand it, the North Viet Namese were ready to surrender until they kept hearing the harping and lack of support from the Dims. Once we pulled the troops out of VN and withheld $s to help the South Viet Namese, it emboldened the North Viet Namese About the only response I have to your excellent post is my regret. Had I known I would have been on the other side of that equation, marching to win by victory instead of my marches to withdraw.
That bit about the draft, it makes all the difference in the world. My ex-husband was no way qualified to be a soldier. He was a sweet guy, my childhood sweetheart, and a wonderful husband, but he was, well he was a bit of a coward. It was the drafting of the unwilling, and unqualified individuals frankly, that made the Vietnam war so unpopular. Do you think if we were drafting the likes of "Rick" to fight in Iraq there wouldn't be greater protests?
I, for one, think so.

You are hearing him correctly. He is also saying congress may the budget for this war, Bush is looking at the war as manifest destiny, Bush's religion is why he is backing the war so adamantly, etc, etc.
This guy is a loon, and Blitz is loonlocked on Heirsch's talking points.
Shameful to let all of this go unchallenged.
