Is voting present the same as a "NO Contest" plea?
With this many nay votes, where is all of the media hoopla coming from? Makes one wonder what gives here.
To: Willie Green
Well, I'm a little worried because some people are asking about my sex life........LOL.

I agree with what you had to say. The final vote was too important to put at the end of a thread -- I certainly would have missed it.
This vote kept two Congressman from being at our Banquet tonight so that is the first thing I wanted to see when I got home -- the outcome of the vote.

Having waded through the other thread, it seems that they made a mistake in their vote (thinking that a yes vote supported the troops).
At least one of them, Lindner of GA, is apparently a solid conservative.
Don't remember who the other one was, but it sounded as if he should get the benefit of the doubt, too.

Why don't you just admit you can't keep up and be done with it?

Evidently you're too important to search. Take it up with this guy: Le ZOTTE: My very IMPORTANT opinion on tonight's debate. VERY IMPORTANT BREAKING NEWS VANITY! MAYO Posted on 09/30/2004 11:56:49 PM EDT by Jim Robinson Edited on 09/30/2004 11:57:40 PM EDT by Jim Robinson. [history] NO ONE ELSE THOUGHT OF THIS SO IT DESERVES A THREAD OF ITS OWN! I think each and every poster on FR should post a new thread stating his opinion on the debate. This way, instead of having only a few threads with hundreds of posts each (ie, discussion threads), we will have hundreds of threads, each with two comments. One the important opinion, and two, the complaint about vanity posts.Capitol idea, make it universal.

"exactly the kind of thing our troops needed to see"
I couldn't agree more. This was anything, BUT a political stunt on the part of the Republicans. The exact opposite!
It is also something our enemies needed to see.

With all due respect Howlin, I avoid threads that are over 500. I have found they are overly inhabited by off topic posts, and are used as chat rooms in some cases. There is usually very little to add to what has been said over and over anyway.
