El Roy joined FR under the name COB1 on Aug 9, 2000 then there was some kinda mixup and he rejoined under the name
Texas Cowboy on Nov 22, 2002. LOL. There was no mix up. ElRoy was a fierce friend and felt one of his was being set upon by the Free Republic powers that be. I believe he may have used some of his Marine, rather than Christian, language upon the mods and told them to remove his account.
After some deep counseling, involving a couple of chicken fried steaks and a cheeseburger, he came back as TexasCowboy.
No way to know who was right or wrong, the only thing that mattered to ElRoy was that a friend was involved and he was going to the rescue.
Along the same lines, I told him some disturbing things about another FReeper who had died under odd circumstances. ElRoy had been looking into the death and the news I brought him did not deter him one bit. The FReeper was a friend and that's all that mattered.
