LOL. There was no mix up. ElRoy was a fierce friend and felt one of his was being set upon by the Free Republic powers that be. I believe he may have used some of his Marine, rather than Christian, language upon the mods and told them to remove his account.
After some deep counseling, involving a couple of chicken fried steaks and a cheeseburger, he came back as TexasCowboy.
No way to know who was right or wrong, the only thing that mattered to ElRoy was that a friend was involved and he was going to the rescue.
Along the same lines, I told him some disturbing things about another FReeper who had died under odd circumstances. ElRoy had been looking into the death and the news I brought him did not deter him one bit. The FReeper was a friend and that's all that mattered.
He certainly was a good friend. We talked about Chief Negotiator on the phone quite a few times. It's a shame that he died the way he did! Both of them were fine men.
