The two Republicans who voted YEA spent too much time at the House bar; they have now recast their votes to NAY.
To: Christian4Bush
That's what I'm wondering.

I know he was the lone vote....what I meant was.....what's his schtick?
Any history on this guy to explain his lunacy? Is he in a liberal district and up for re-election.....or is there some other reason? Someone here must know.

Linder is from Georgia. Good, solid conservative. He's not an anti-war, anti-troops freakazoid. Someone mentioned that the one Republican might have been designated by the party because of some House rule about bringing the resolution up for a vote again, but I don't understand how that works. You have to be correct because Linder is NO RINO.....he's my congressman and he's SOLID!
To: the Deejay
It was never designed to pass. It was to back the DemocRATS into a corner. Their anti-war base is going to be quite angry with them.
To: rolling_stone
Linder must have goofed. The yes vote is gone now. I hate to say it, but he seems a little dumb. They had to get his attention to vote for the resolution earlier tonight.

Well, Charlie Rangel introduced some bill to bring back the draft, and then he voted against it, so I don't think so. I don't understand why Linder voted for this resolution. It is a non-binding resolution, BTW, not a bill.
