I think they're well aware of the message a "not voting" would send about their commitment to the War on Terror. It's as good as a "no" -- and people WILL notice. Can you see comericals now?
At one of the most important votes in our nation's history my opponent voted no or didn't show up. If I am elected your congressman I vow to take our nations security seriously.

Bring it on. If we are unwilling to put the B52s over cities, we are not willing to win. VICTORY NOW.

Unfortunatley, the widow's son is my Congressman. I just emailed him, asking whether he is voting to support the War On Terror, or will he vote to surrender to Zarqawi.
No answer from him, so far.

I do not think he can veto Congressional resolutions on the usage of troops. Maybe somebody will correct me on that.

Is GW still overseas?
If so, this is an atrocity for the Congress to hold such a vote while the President it out of the country.

I disagree. If you've been watching J.D. Hayworth of AZ, he is all over the place denouncing Murtha and the doves. He's a leader, that boy!

If congress wants to and votes to pull the funding, I do not think there is anything the President can do about it.
