"Bush needs to expose them for what they are." And he can, but today is Veteran's Day. He couldn't make this speech last week or right after the Libby indictment? I think you cheapen the importance of the day if the President's focus on this day of all days is not veterans. Save the politics for another day.

Does anyone see that person sitting with the white alien looking symbol on their shirt?

Fox reported that it is tradionally the VP's turn for this holiday. No need to worry. Bush did it in 2004, 2003, 2002 and 2000.
Sounds like it's traditionally the President.

Disagree. He is spelling out not just to Americans but Veterans and current soldiers on why the sacrifice is neccesary, seems to fit like a glove to me.

yes, he was early and has spoken for about 10 minutes already. He is sound, he is clear and he is on target.
He is a man of great character. Bless this man, He continues to need our prayers.

I'm listening. Got home just in time. Some of the stronger language I've heard about Islamic radicalism from the President.
Some unknown posters on this thread I see. Not surprising.

My prediction is that after the speech, he will be blasted even more. Speeches aren't going to change anything. It's going to take a major effort by the GOP to counter the lies from the left. Frankly , the gonadless GOP doesn't have it in them. They're like Chirac sitting around cutting the cheese while bad things happen, and then eventually giving a speech. My tag line from a comment by fellow FReeper cgbg:
The GOP has adopted the Chirac Negotiation Strategy: Posture, appease, surrender

Well, if it's a good speech, we won't see much of it tonight.
If it's bad, we'll get to see it over and over and over...

It always happens. Complaints, complaints, complaints.
If he does what he is quite capable of doing, he'll be doing the troops a bigger favor than a pay raise.

President:
The hatred of the radicals existed before Iraq was an issue and it will exist after Iraq is no longer an excuse.
Russia didn't support the war in Iraq, but extremists killed over 150 children.
