I have no intention of taking it up with the mods. I was merely giving some advice for the future.

If these were coordinated and planned attacks, then we have nothing to fear of Islam but burned out cars.
I guess I'm in the minority on FR, but this is not an AQ plot. This has none of the hallmarks of an AQ plot. One man was killed, but that's probably par for the course on an average night in the Paris slums. Everyone here is breathlessly reporting the fall of France, and frankly, if you look at the facts, they had 13 nights of "terrorism" and one death. There were more deaths on the first night of the Rodney King riots. So, if this is the new modus operandi of AQ, then the future is bright indeed!
Sorry, this is not the counter-Crusade, either. This bears no resemblance to the Iraqi insurgency, and so far, no suicide bombers blowing up Paris cafes. I realize there are some people disappointed that the Eiffel Tower has yet to collapse like the World Trade Center, but if this is the best the disaffect Muslim street can muster up, then this will dissipate quickly over the next few days.
So far as riots go, I'm not impressed.

I wonder how many greenbacks Islam had to lay on the prince's table before he started seeing the wonders of Islam appearing before his eyes?
I seriously think that many of these idiots who go around touting the joys of Islam have been bought. They can't be that stupid. Can they?

That's because you don't have the full story.
The media has focused on the burning of cars as a smoke screen. These Muslims have been burning schools, churches, synagogues, courthouses, as well as myriad of other buildings.
I won't be surprised to see total damage in the billions. The French and the MSM have worked hard to suppress this story. There's no telling how bad it really has been in France.
Another thing to consider is the fact that these Muslims are pulling their punches right now. They know that a full scale, armed insurrection with dead bodies everywhere would be crushed by the military. They are purposefully doing just enough to scare the pants of the french and force them to give concessions.

They are purposefully doing just enough to scare the pants of the french and force them to give concessions. But that's not the M-O of Al Qaeda. They're not interested in political reforms. They want dead bodies. That's why I'm decrying all the chatter that AQ is behind this. They're not. It does, however, provide a great opening for AQ to make some serious headway in radicalizing these thugs to their kind of mayhem.

They've already been "radicalized"--they watch Al Jazeera all day and then go out and burn cars at night.

Some of the Islamic elders of these French suburbs are already calling, not just for political reforms, but for semi-autonomous enclaves governed, in part, by sharia. The next step will be to try to influence national policy, such as forcing bars and resturants in France to close during Ramadan between sunrise and sunset. I think Islamic legal scholars already consider France as being close to becoming a Dar al Sulh. Autonomous little Jihadistans and the national policy influence recognizing Islamic holy days would definitely put France in that camp. I think many French elites realize this and would welcome such a situation.

Al Qaeda's M-O changed after we forced Israel to give the Gaza strip. By forcing Israel to concede we showed Islam that it can actually take and occupy land by simply using local forces to pitch huge temper tantrums. In the mind of Islam, these troubled areas of France are now officially occupied lands. All they have to do is keep raising hell and then accepting concessions until they take control of France
This strategy is extremely cost effective. There is no need to move equipment or personnel. The participants are dirt poor and expendable, and the organizers stay safely hidden and well out of harms way. There is no financial paper trail to follow to the big dogs in Al Qaeda/Islam because nothing had to be financed. It's the perfect strategy.
AQ is constantly learning new techniques and changing with the times. Flying airplanes into buildings wasn't part of their MO either, until they did it.
World governments are lethargic, slow to move, slow to decide, and slow to learn.
AQ is fluid, and snatches opportunities where and when they see them. That's why the French are now trapped like rats by the forces of Islam.
We are going to suffer the same fate if we don't wake up and stop expecting AQ to just keep on doing the same old stuff. Our government also needs to realize once and for all that Islam cannot be bought and it cannot be negotiated with.

Flying airplanes into buildings wasn't part of their MO either, until they did it. Actually, it was, and intelligence services were aware of this because of the disrupted "Bojinka" plot originating in the Phillipines and masterminded by Ramzee Youseff.
Given the massive population of Islamists in London, why didn't they use the "occupation" technique in the UK instead of blowing up a double decker bus?
The participants are dirt poor and expendable, and the organizers stay safely hidden and well out of harms way. There is no financial paper trail to follow to the big dogs in Al Qaeda/Islam because nothing had to be financed. It's the perfect strategy.
And yet they didn't do this in London.
AQ is constantly learning new techniques and changing with the times.
Unless you count Madrid, Bali, London, Istanbul, Egypt, New Delhi, the disrupted Australian plot, and now the successful suicide bombing of hotels in Amman, Jordan - except for all of these incidents, yes, they never do the same thing twice and change with the times.

BTW, take a look at THIS headline. Seems foreign media are more willing to call a spade a spade.....

I hope everything is going smoothly with your "'To-do' stuff".

London isn't ripe for this type insurrection just yet.
How long had Al-Qaeda been in existence? During how much of that time were they flying airplanes into buildings or plotting to do so. The Airplane thing is relatively new.
Believe what you want to about Al-Quaeda, but to believe that they are incapable of changing tactics and that they would not at least capitalize on this situation in France would be to severely underestimate the enemy.
They only learned the lesson that nations will actually give them land for their bad behavior a few weeks ago. It may take the masterminds that are running this country a few months or years to "officially" decide what Al-Qaeda learned from that...or it could be never since our government pushed Israel to concede land.
If our FBI/CIA shares this attitude that Al-Qaeda only has a few tired old tricks in its bag then we are in big trouble. We should always be on the look out for new angles and new methods from AQ, and we should be especially suspicious of activities, like in France, where hordes of muslims are involved.
