My Fellow FReepers,

As it now past midnight (well at least for those of us in Central Standard Time) and I did a general search and couldn't find a single thread dedicated to election 2005, I have taken the liberty of creating one.

THIS is the place to post all your updates and discussions on '05 races around the country. From the Boston Mayoral Race to the fight for Virginia Attorney General, keep the adrenaline flowing here.

Will the GOP make a midterm gubernatorial comeback after suffering through the 2001 "mistakes" of McGreeley and Mark Warner? Will Ahnuld, the CA Dummycrats, or independent minded conservatives emerge triumph in California's latest (but not greatest!) "special election"? Will the liberal incumbent crush his equally liberal challenger in New York? And do conservatives even care?

Your holier than thou responses do NOT hide the FACT that you are TOTALLY unable to take any facts presented to you and prove them as untrue. The absense of that and the presence if your insults is ALL that shows up in your posts. You mistake disrespect for people thinking for themselves and pointing out that you're wrong. AFTER you can learn to be challenged on your ideas without presuming it's disrespect, and treating others with a lack of courtesy and an extra helping of your ego, you will have learned respectful debate. You talking about courtesy with some of the posts you made are laughable. You never even saw or talked to me before tonight and your comments were more than a little personal, and all I did was disagree with you. You ARE disrupting conservative morale. There are ways of voicing concerns without dropping it on others heads. You need to learn that. Your posts were a start contrast to the posts of everyone else. If they didn't stick out so much, I wouldn't have replied to them.

And it shouldn't matter how long you've posted here. The fact that you throw it out as though its some kind of wild card that trumps facts or others opinions and beliefs is a joke. I'm 34 and voted Republican since I was 18 and was a conservative long before that. I've served as a delegate in the TX Republican convention over the years and been as active as time allows. Was 9 years old hoping and praying that Reagan would beat carter. So pardon me if I don't bow and scrape because you've been here for five years and I don't submit to your inference that it makes you more conservative than those who disagree with you.

And your shortcomings when it comes to courtesy and respect for those disagreeing with you is a stark contrast to the hundreds of other posters I've gotten to know here the past three months. You REALLY stick out. Sorry if that's unpleasent for you, but it's true. You need better people skills. Several have disagreed with me here or pointed out a stat or fact I remembered wrong or was unaware of, and I thanked them for correcting me and adjusted my posts accordingly. I didn't get snotty and surley and rip into someone like you have. If most FReepers were like you, I'd of bailed out of here over two months ago, chaulking this place up as a conservative snobs only ego lounge. Thankfully, you're a rare exception. Not the rule.

And you know what's funny, just about all of what I believe of the political landscape is what Limbaugh, Hannity, and Levin thinks too. Heard on one of the radio shows last night Warren Beatty and Annette Benning have been turning up where-ever Arnold's had an engagement and getting right up in Arnolds face,not saying a word, just standing there and staring. As for the other repulsive idiot, never did like him as a person or as an actor. He's nothing but a fat hypocrite, comes up with all these cigarette tax or no smoking bills while all the time has a big old fat cigar in his hand or sticking out of his pocket.

You call THAT disrespectful??? MY GOD, I've only seen this kind of behavior in well known egomaniacs. I must have missed the sign here that said "All bow before FreeReign". I was SMILING 8) and joking and being just about as lighthearted in that post as I could be and still make points! GOD IN HEAVEN you are dang near disconnected from reality if you can't see that. What you call "getting respect from others" seems to be not disagreeing with you, which is ALL that I and others did, and when that happened, you failed to argue the facts and turned it to personal comments. You CLEARLY think you deserve a level of treatment that no one should afford themselves in conversation. You aren't beyond reproach you know? That post of mine was NOT disrespectful in the least. I also wonder how many comments I'll get from other users about you telling me not to worry about you because you're not worth it either, like the other couple that got on my case over nothing. 8) It's funny how in my three months here, the very few people that have had issues with me end up being people that most regular members don't like either. Funny how that works. 8)

Only one passed. I guess most Californians want things to remain as screwed up as they were under Gray Davis. That's left coasters for you. To all Republicans in California, I say this. Please, move to Nevada, Ohio and Florida, where you will be apprecaited. 8) And if you have really bubbly pesonalities, move to Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Those two states are so close to being red that they're almost a nice violet color. 8)

Only one is passing at this time. Considering where the results are coming in from, this is hardly shocking. The real question is how long it'll take to process all the absentee ballots, which tend to follow a more conservative line.

As to this being the left coast - last time I laid on the ground, the direction to my left was east, but hey, your results may vary. :) And no, don't plan on moving. Freepers don't counterprotest A.N.S.W.E.R. rallies because they'll change the minds of A.N.S.W.E.R., it is so that there is another voice at their rallies. And the same thing applies to California.

I expect 73 and 75 to both pass by the time the counting is done, perhaps more.

Mods, thank you for removing that. For an hour he jumped on me as being "disrespectful" when all I did was disagree with him, and then he shows just how respectful and courteous he is by calling me a vulgar name when he can't use facts for an argument. Thanks for removing those.
