I wish. I'd love to have an mp3 of that interview. I'll have to tinker with that. 8) THAT is an interview that needs to SWARM ALL OVER the conservative movement. It totally destroys any lib that talks about anything wilson has said as evidence.
That is just the voice that he uses when he is trying to sound measured and statesmanlike. He is very transparent.
To make sure the third sentence in paragraph 1.f. of the indictment was not easily shown to be untrue. Reporters would be nosing around Wilson's place after the indictment was handed down, and it would have been quite embarrassing if a reporter asked a neighbor, etc, ... you get the idea, it would be a fact automatically damaging to the prosecutor's credibility.
Fitzgerald gratuitously set-up the meme that Plame was covert, even to the point of putting the phrase "and her employment status was classified" in the indictment. All part of setting a misleading stage. But he had his case against Libby even without that misleading setting.

BTW...I just got done hearing Maj. Gen. Vallely...what a HOOT...this whole thing is gonna blow up in Wilson, Plame, Chrissy Matthews, Fitzy, Reid, ALL of their faces!!!!!

I suspect that a great many people to call in and say they are or were in the miltiary and then rip the miltiary and Bush for the war have never really been in the military. I wish each talk show host when a caller like that calls in, simply asks, what unit were you assigned to? And if they give some pat answer like the 101st Airborne or the 1st Marine Expeditionary, or 3rd Infantry Division, which anyone who has paid attention to the war in Iraq knows were there, then says "no on. I mean what UNIT. What batallian, what company? The specific unit". A REAL soldier or Marine will be able to spout that off JIFFY QUICK. Could also ask them what's your serial number. They know that just like ther know their birthday. If anyone fails to be able to rattle that off with NO pause, or they get angry and spew vulgarities or something, they're NOT military, past, present, or EVER. I wish talk show hosts would start doing that and prove out fake callers. Anyone calling into a show and claiming to be militray is a total SCUM BAG and deserves nothing short of a severe beating that removes them from solid foods for a few weeks. ;|
The Libby case was about Libby "lying" during an investigation of a case that shouldn't have been brought...
If HE did lie...he will be held accountable...but, in the meantime....Wilson, Plame, Vallely, Andrea Mitchell, Russert, Miller, Cooper and all of the rest will have to testify in public, under oath....yes!!!!
Thats because his New York buddies wouldn't shell out 1000 bucks a plate for his 2008 run for the Office.

Exactly. You just remember those things, and yours was your sons and you remember it still. It's not something you don't know. It would put a stop to it for a while anyway until libs started doing research on military units that have served in Iraq and when and starts using them in their calls.

Yeah really. I mean, I like Hannity. He's a great conservative. But his patty cake mccain interviews get REALLY OLD! Same with Lieberman though they're amusing. It still gets old.

yeppers....now that Wilson may be blowing up in their faces...they are saying that Bush used a "calculated plan to manipulate the media" into pushing for war, using cherry-picked CIA evidence...yada, yada....

There is the whole dem plan, right there. One is not surprised that Chrissy is on board with it.
I know it's not evidence pertaining to the charges on Libby, but it shows that the whole basis of the investigation is thin and lacking incredibility. And the other stuff establishes that the whole investigation was based on a false premise. That someone leaked plame as a CIA covert operative, which she hadn't been for over seven years now, and that the investigation was baseless and did not prove anything, therefore it would be a travesty to convict Libby for crimes of lying and misleading the GJ, and obstructing the investigation of a crime that he didn't commit, that only took place because of the investigation and during it, and in fact it wasn't even a crime. It just all makes it very hard to convict I think.

But when asked (I think it was one of the first questions), "So was she covert", he either said he didn't know or that was a question for the CIA. I have to watch the clip again. I remember my jaw hitting the ground and thinking even though it doesn't relate to this indictment, wouldn't that be the first thing you find out if you're to find out if her identity was leaked?
He's still of impeccable character, and his son died wearing the uniform. Since he served his country himself and cindy sheehan and joe wilson never have, he has more right to speak and more credibility than both of them put together.
