Don't get me started. As I type, there is yet another fight here and they're screaming over the security radios about kids having baseball bats sheeeesh you'd think it was WWIII. We get put into lockdown on a regular basis here in the inner city. 'Nother day....'nother dollar....

I teach with a bunch of liberal wusses now. At my other inner city high school where I taught for eight years, there were six ex-military and two of those were retired SpecOps guys. We made a pact: No more Colombines! If somebody showed up with a gun and opened fire we'd meet at a specified point.... Find the threat and take him or them out. It's not as difficult as you might think in tight quarters and blind corners and untrained punks....we stopped fights the same way.... These days without my buds for backup, I'm a little bit more circumspect in my actions...LOL When I first showed up on this new campus, the word had already spread from the other school and I had no problems at all with discipline. But to reinforce I showed them all my military photo albums and some recent pics of some of my IDPA competitions.....and it worked like always. Predators have remarkable survival acumen.

Hmm, probably not in that area, well not actually hunting. could be practicing. I wonder if this is going to end up similar to the guy practicing his hunting techniques on his own land that happened to be near a school a while back. At least I hope this is another case over reaction instead of some clown "hunting" kids.

It wouldn't be if the handful of self-righteous homeschoolers would refrain from making attempts to attack the public schools at every remote opportunity.

It's as though they simply must, at every mention of a public school, broadcast to all other forum members that they homeschool, and are above the sort of nonsense with thich the rest of us must deal, but have only brought upon ourselves.

I'd prefer to use your overly defensive and abrasive manner, personally. Did you only bring your broad brush today? Not up to debating things on the merits?

My family chooses to homeschool, for a variety of reasons. I refuse to impugn all of those who choose not to - for whatever reason. That's because it is a choice.

I find it unfortunate that you chose belligerence and ad hominem over debate of substance.
