Can we prevent WWIII or Holocaust II?WWIII started some time ago. Although there were several early attacks on American interests by radical Islam, WWIII started on 9/11/01, during the tenure of an American president with the will, bravery and foresight to take the battle to the enemy in the enemy's heartland.
For that, President Bush has been vilified enormously here at home. I believe the American people will cave just as readily as the French. In 2008, instead of electing someone who will keep the hot war hot over there, we will elect an appeaser.
I don't believe we are any stronger or better than the French.

Correction, this is WWIV. WWIII was the Cold War - and Reagan won that for us.

I believe the American people will cave just as readily as the French. I don't think so, Scooter.
We still have 250 million guns (plus or minus) in private hands in this country. Riots like this may happen in NY City, Chicago, etc. If riot's like this happened anyware else, there would be lots of dead rioters after day one, plus US law enforcement would deal with the riots with more force than the French have to date.

I disagree. Mainly, many people I know (my husband and I included) have firearms in their homes, and are quite prepared to use them in self/property defense.
Many are like me - in their 40's - 50's, tired of being overlooked, and are now participating in grass roots. In the 70's I was a democrat because my dad was. But since the 80's and Regan, my eyes have been opened, and I refuse to be marginalized (sp) by the Olympian/Elitists/intolerant/intelligentsia. I may not have a college education - but I've lived long enough to know a thing or two about REALITY, to be fearless, and quite prepared to make a difference. I'm mad about how the constitution is being dumped over the side, and I'm not gonna take this NO MORE!!
