French police made 395 arrests last night as riots intensified for the 11th consecutive night, with violence and fire engulfing towns from the North to the Mediterranean.
In the impoverished suburbs and satellite towns around Paris, where the unrest began on October 27, churches, schools and warehouses were set alight. At least 1,408 vehicles were destroyed, many more than on previous nights, and the random attacks have spread into the heart of the city.
In Grigny, south of the capital, a gang of around 200 youths are reported to have lured police into a housing estate before opening fire with hunting rifles. At least 30 officers were injured, two seriously with lead pellets in the legs and neck.
Riots broke out in beacons of disaffection across the country from Lille, on the border with Belgium, to Montpellier on the Mediterranean coast. In Toulouse, police used tear gas to disperse a mob. Cars were set alight on the streets of Nantes, Orleans, Rennes and Rouen, and youths in St Etienne forced passengers off a bus before burning it. Churches were set ablaze in northern Lens and southern Sete.

In Strasbourg, youths stole a car and rammed it into a housing project, setting the vehicle and the building on fire. "Well stop when Sarkozy steps down," the defiant 17-year-old driver told an Associated Press reporter.
Police are calling for a night-time curfew in affected areas and some senior officers have demanded that troops are brought on to the streets.
Michel Gaudin, France's most senior police officer, said today: "We are witnessing a sort of shock wave that is spreading across the country."

pathetic....
France did make a vital difference with both funds and then (near the end) forces.... but remember that it was the Royal government which was doing this to hurt their enemies the Brits, so I'm not sure how much undying gratitude the actions of a long-defunct Monarchy earns the people of France 224 years later......
I believe that France did pay for a good % of the arms and supplies used by our colonial revolutionaries, though I don't recall the figures. The most vital contribution was that the French fleet (when it finally arrived) blocked the British fleet from rescuing Cornwallis at Yorktown in 1781, so yes that was a critically important contribution that led directly to the successful end of the war for our revolutionaries.
Not that what happened 224 years ago can make up for French perfidy in recent years..... watching Jacques 'Iraq' Chirac and friends suck up to Saddam and undermine the USA has been an experience provoking intense nausea......there is no question in my mind that if France had not sought to undermine us in the past few years that a lot of things would have gone better on the ground in Iraq. Chirac helped to get a lot of wonderful US people killed by insurgents who would have been weaker and/or non-existent if there had been a united front from the UN Security Council pushing Saddam out of power and pressuring Syria and Iran to stay the hell out....
Nicely done.

See Chapter 9, especially Sec 9, sec 32
DEADLY FORCE IN DEFENSE OF PERSON
"(b) The requirement imposed by Subsection (a)(2) does not
apply to an actor who uses force against a person who is at the time of the use of force committing an offense of unlawful entry in the habitation of the actor."
aka the "Make My Day" provision !
Ruger Mini-14? .223? 5.56mm
Sheesh!
Get the Ruger Mini-30! .308! 7.62x39
Same ammo as the SKS and AK-47....
Amazing isn't it? You have to read the whole article to get that. I could have posted all of it here but wanted people to read that for affect.
Rioting that began in Paris has spread throughout France, leading police to say the violence is "without precedent since the Second World War"
They used to hang horse thieves so it seems to me that destroying someone's car is identical to stealing or killing someone's horse. This is basicly depriving people of their means to support themselves, unless in France, it is not quite necessary to support oneself as the government might be doing the supporting. I can only project my own imagined hardship were my vehicles to be destroyed in such a random, senseless manner on the victims in France and I would advocate using any means necessary to prevent this autocide from happening. Shoot to wound, but shoot, shoot, shoot. These people are sick.
Agreed very patheitc that WHILE there is still rioting going on they have their TERMS for surrender listed.
Although the actions are indefensible, they aren't the acts of a well-planned war, or in nearly two weeks of violence, there would be more than one dead.
That isn't to say that this has serious implications. These riots just highlight prime breeding grounds for terrorists.
It's send a very bad message globally. Violence against the government by using "youths" to gain political demands because you can't beat down "youths" or shoot them or world public opinion will fall upon you, gives you a MAJOR political victory on the 21st century battlefield.
"People attend fast track trial appearances at the Bobigny courthouse, northeast of Paris, Monday, Nov. 7, 2005."
How ludicrous. It seems the West is falling--and willfully falling. The French are pathetic.
Jacque Chirac = Essence of French Manhood
This is what kissing the Koran gets you lol. The Bible tells it like it is on these people. They fight endlessly with one another and with everyone around them. So who's next? Germany? Italy? Spain? LOL. Reap it.
Considering VICOMTE 13 says his family live in the suburb where the riots started he therefore should be aware of the followings.....
For over 20 years muslims in the CITES have been driving French people out by.....
1....raping young non.muslims girls.
2....attacking elderly white non muslims.
3....burning shops selling alcohol.
4....burning shops selling porks.
5....harassing jewish families.
6....attacking Police, firemen, ambulancemen, and anyone of authority.
Futhermore, the so called poor people enjoy free housing, free medical care, free schooling, and a minimum wage for not working.
The poor people in those communities, are the White non muslims who have to suffer daily threats.
you will notice.no muslims shops , bussinesses, mosques going up in flames.
Look at the way the poor YOUTHS are dressed, Gucci, Adidas, YSL, latest mobile phone.....riding latest scooters......
Yes there is poverty like eveywhere else, but only muslims seem to complain.
France has also, people from Vietnam, China, Portugal, former Yougoslavia and many more countries, only the Muslims are rioting....Strange is it not?
Kristopher.
I'm struck by several points in this article- but the most looming is -WHERE in the WORLD are they going to find the money to pay for all these new programs?? Isn't their economy already in desperate straits?
I confess to a good deal of ignorance about the inner working of French politics- but I well remember de Villepin from the pre-war days at the UN ..he is a weasel of the first order.
