ACHERES, France Riots that started in Paris' lower-class suburbs and resulted in 250 arrests of predominantly Muslim youths Saturday moved into the capital of France early Sunday morning.
By 1 a.m., a spokesman for the national police reported 13 vehicles torched in the capital, and 607 vehicles burnt overall during the 10th straight night of rioting. Totals are expected to rise by morning.

The violence originally concentrated in neighborhoods northeast of Paris with large immigrant populations is forcing France (search) to confront anger long-simmering in its suburbs, where many Africans and their French-born children live on society's margins, struggling with unemployment, poor housing, racial discrimination, crime and a lack of opportunity.
Youths armed with gasoline bombs lit vehicles, a nursery school and other targets on fire as they made their way through higher-class towns and to the capital.

In quiet Acheres, on the edge of the St. Germain forest west of the capital, arsonists burned a nursery school, where part of the roof caved in, and about a dozen cars in four attacks over an hour that the mayor said seemed "perfectly organized."
Children's photos clung to the blackened walls, and melted plastic toys littered the floor. Residents gathered at the school gate demanded that the army be deployed or suggested that citizens band together to protect their neighborhoods.
Mayor Alain Outreman (search) tried to cool tempers.
"We are not going to start militias," he said. "You would have to be everywhere."
In one particularly malevolent attack, youths in the eastern Paris suburb of Meaux (search) prevented paramedics from evacuating a sick person from a housing project. They pelted rescuers with rocks, then torched the awaiting ambulance, an Interior Ministry official said.

To even say the word "America" can bring tears to the eys. The "people" behind these attacks came to receive, take and destroy. It is purely gratuitous and senseless.
I cant help but thinking the french police will start shooting soon. I hope they do. Paris is a beautiful town.
The beauty of RKBA is that the militia CAN be everywhere. Too bad France believes weakness is strength.
The same people who said in 1992 that riots would never happen in France.... now they sit back, wring their hands while the citizens pray for help their government is unwilling or unable to provide.
It's amazing that no one has been killed yet.
I know it's not very Christian of me, but I am sooooooo enjoying this right now...:-)

If one looks at the course of European history, despite their cultural "refinement" they are utterly brutal to outsiders.
Not more than 40 years after the death of the great composer Johannes Brahms in 1897, the Germans were brutally engaging themselves in "Christallnacht", or the Night of Broken Glass. In those days, the Germans and other Europeans felt themselves threatened by the Jews, as outsiders. The Jewish activities that concerned the Europeans so much involved cultural, media and professional dominance, and their fear of the Jews ended with the Holocaust.
I cannot imagine the end being any more attractive for the Muslims. The Europeans, I predict, will turn ruthlessly and "on a dime" against the resident Muslims. It may take the form of "shoot to kill" instructions. There may well be military tactics used against demonstrators. Think "Six-Day War" tactics used against Muslim neighborhoods.
For 1000 years Europe carved itself up in wars. They are not a mellow, idyllic, cultured oasis they like to hold themselves out as. The Europeans will not let themselves go down the drain into a Eurabian existence. We will be nostalgic for their days of maundering at the UN against US efforts, and their dithering.
In a way, the whole of France is like New Orleans.
I said pretty much the same thing.
"We are not going to start militias." No, but I bet you ordered in a fresh supply of white flags.
The French militia (National Guard) saved the French Republic during the French Revolution, they will need the militia to secure their neighborhoods. What is wrong with these French leaders. I think when faced with danger, the average French person will use common sense and fight. Their problem is that they mentally are still beholden to government and refuse to take initiative. I think the first Frenchman to die will spark action by the French in the streets. The government better support their citizens or else the government buildings will be set on fire by Muslim rioters and French citizens. The French government better get out of the way and let their people fight. I know that as Americans we make fun of them, but under the right circumstances, the French can be ferocious. If they do, I am willing to overlook their past indiscretions and support them in their fight.
"It's amazing that no one has been killed yet."
I read tonight that 7 have been killed. I believe 3 people were burned inside an ambulance.
Just saw reports on another thread that 4 were killed when paramedics were attacked.
5 Reported Dead in Aulnay-Sous-Bois after an attack on Citizens and the Paramedics that tried to resuce them.
be strong!!!thank you
I just moved back to the US after living in Europe for 21 years in England and Norway. I hope ethnic europeans rise up because what I saw in Norway and England, not to mention in other places in Europe was ominous.
No vermin down though.
Thus, France's problem...Muslims are EVERYWHERE in France.
