It is now getting dark in Paris and in all of France(appx. 6:40 PM Paris Time), and if there are any French FR lurkers(lurquers), this may be the thread to post your reports about any further violence.

It seems the French govt. is impotent in it's response to what seems are jihadist thugs and it seems the American media has put a news blackout filter to what is really happening, so as not to embarass their heroes, Chirac et al.

So any news reports or personal reports from what happens tonight are welcome, and don't worry about broken English, reports in French are welcome also, I have no doubt someone can translate.

I really dread putting up a live thread about such a matter, but it seems that the American MSM is following French govt. orders to play down to what it seems is an insurrection.

This story has to be a major embarrassment for the MSMedia. The biggest story worldwide right now and they have to spike it because they have yet to figure a way to blame Bush or America for it. Maybe Time magazine will do a poll about it in Venezuela or Mexico.

The more I read, the more it seems as though Islamism does have something to do with this violence.

No shi'ite, Shirlock. Chirac agreed that Muslim immigrants don't have to assimilate (I'll dig up the evidence if anyone cares). Muslims are demanding the areas they occupy to be considered Islamic and off limits to the kuffar. Islam is much smarter now than when confronting Charles Martel and Jan Sobieski.

And they have appeasers aplenty in Chirac and de Villepin.

I think that France and Denmark have essentially put the kibosh on media coverage of riots for fear of fanning the flames of the rioters.

That said, the MSM prolly wasn't interested anyway.

There is a very easy solution to this problem. Draft them. Why aren't these hoods already drafted into the French Army?

Anyone who's French/American won't send their teenage boys to France for fear of being drafted, so what gives here?

Teaching these thugs discipline, patriotism and useful job skills would be good not just for them but good for the French economy.

What are we missing? Are Algerian/Frenchies not drafted like white Frenchies are being drafted?
