I knew Rush would get to this. The deductions will be gone and the rates will start to creep back up.

There is no hope for NO or La, might as well bulldoze both and start over, some don't even want to go back.

Just as Democrats cannot have guns because they won't take responsibility for thier actions, and thus not responsible enough to have them, Democrats should have special add-on taxes are the gas pump for all the imposed taxes they forced on the rest of us.

I was just happy to see the huge drop here! I saw it last week at $2.79, and had halfa tank and decided not to get any. I am glad I waited! I filled up for $30+ vs almost $60 a few weeks ago!

Okay, I'm jealous. To think I got excited because on Friday I found gas for $2.69. Haven't looked since then but will look when I go out today.
Unfortunately, living in the DC area doesn't have any benefits.

Cool! :)
I'm going to have a cord of wood delivered tomorrow to burn in the fireplace this winter. It helps a little on heating costs but I would burn all winter anyway just because I like it.
To: MNJohnnie
I was up there a couple of weeks ago and paid $2.17 but would have paid more to be warm.

Corporations exist for one reason: profits. Other so-called reasons the left thinks is true are excuses to avoid the basic reason to even have a corporation.

I find Jay Rockefeller's membership on an Intelligence committee an ironic oxymoron.

One thing i don't get is that I know fuel additives exist but are kept off the market. I wonder about that.

Is it me or are there enough engineering types to dissuade folks from building family homes significantly below sea level?

I understand economics and the profit motive. I don't disagree with it. I do have a problem with corporations pissing on my leg and telling me its raining. Pardon my directness.

There are 3000 evacuees from NO and LA here in the panhandle of FL who say they aren't going back.
Our crime has increased.
Our taxes have already increased due to increased "services" for these folks.
Next I expect to read something about the Emergency Rooms of local hospitals being over-utilized and in "trouble" due to lack of payment. Guess where they will get payment for the "emergency" help they are giving?
I am so tired of people riding for free.

Be honest, we have an excellent opportunity to make a bunch a money and pal we are gonna do it.
Ok. Let's try this the other way around. OTHER then your FEELING, what PROOF do you have to back up your accusation of gouging?
BTW, since my pension fund and 401K plan both have investments in Oil stocks, I am "Big Oil"
Companies are collections of investors, not some big evil club rich white guys belong to. They all ready pay HUGH taxes on their profits. The emotional wish to "punish" the oil companies for being Capitalist Enterprises is nonsense. How about this. How about we make the Campaign Funds of the Pols taxable? How about we impose a "Windfall profit" on the profits Holliweird Actors make? Pro Athletes? Sorry but there ARE other options. Gas is NOT a necessity.
Gas is not a necessity. You can alter your behavior. Drive a fuel efficient car, use other forms of transport. Move closer to your work. The idea that Gas is a "necessity" and thus you are entitled to it is NOT an argument Conservatives should be making. I am a Conservative because I want the Govt Limited as much as possible, NOT because I want the Govt to be limited ONLY in the things I DON'T want it to do
