CBS REPORTER TO WHITE HOUSE: ALITO 'SLOPPY SECONDS?' Mon Oct 31 2005 11:26:56 ET
CBSNEWS Chief White House correspondent John Roberts described the Presidents selection of Judge Samuel Alito as sloppy seconds during todays press gaggle with White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan.
John Roberts: So, Scott, you said that -- or the President said, repeatedly, that Harriet Miers was the best person for the job. So does that mean that Alito is sloppy seconds, or what?
Scott McClellan: Not at all, John.
Sloppy seconds is described in the United Kingdoms A Dictionary of Slang as:
Noun: A subsequent indulgence in an activity by a second person involving an exchange of bodily fluids. This may involve the sharing of drink, or more often it applies to a sexual nature. E.g. Im not having sloppy seconds, I want to shag her first.

I bet they could show these news conferences on pay per view if Gen. Honore' ran them.
Thanks for the ping.
Apparently the MSM has dropped all pretense of portraying themselves as professionals. There is no decency or respect for their tenure in the WH press corps.
What they do not understand is that the disrespect, cynicism and inelegant behavior they are displaying toward the WH spokesperson, is in fact aimed at us; they forget the WH is the people's house.
They forget that an adversarial question can be asked with aplomb, wit and be pointed; it does not have to be caustic, venomous, crude and ill mannered.
This brings back the salami comment that Howard Dean made and his crudity on national television. They have no sense of how they are perceived. I hope they continue to expose themselves in this this manner.
Lefties have no shame.
I also don't like that Scott's Dad is a left-wing conspiracy wacko.
The presstitutes mocked Ken Starr by picturing him in drag and also with an erection all those years ago.
Let's see how they mock Fitzcaraldo.
If I was Scott McClellan, I would have made an example of Mr. Roberts on the spot and revoked his press pass for two weeks. That's a level of decorum which should not be tolerated.
Ari was brilliant. Bring Ari back!
OH the MSM is ticked. They didn't think the President would take on the Demonrats. How sweet it is! Let's get this party started!
Oh my. I agree. I do what I can to write to the major offenders when they offend. Here's what I sent CBS. I was a little pleased with this effort. LOL.
You must be so proud. Once again the Washington press corps and your own CBS chief White House correspondent, John Roberts, have demonstrated there is no low beneath which they cannot sink. It's not that Mr. Robert's remark wasn't vile and disgusting,(it was) but rather that it revealed what modern journalism(and CBS) is so bereft of; intelligence, decorum, intellectual weight and curiosity. Vast swaths of history are passing by without comment, context or remark. To actually deal with these issues of course would require "journalists" with some background on history, current events and important ideas, and a thorough grounding in the great political debate that is our unfolding history. That is so very hard, and requires doing ones homework.
But at any rate, Mr. Roberts has plenty of 'tude. That seems to be the major requirement for CBS. While I ceased watching your news product many, many years ago, because of its shallow and agendised coverage, I do still watch other programming. This will cease immediately.
And so you may have Mr. Roberts "apologise" for his unfortunate words, but it really doesn't matter. This is the world of the internet baby, and the truth is half way around the world before the lie gets its pants on. Which is fortunate for those of us disgusted with your product. Its seems that again your network as part of the press corps just gang rapes the news proving that the most degraded form of human intercourse is the journalists.. Sloppy seconds, indeed.
Clymer? :-)
