McCain indicated this morning he really liked this pick. Yeah... well after watching our president get shot full of holes by his own side.... McCain surely doesn't want any part of that gauntlet.

Not to split hairs but the pencil neck geek, Hennican, was 'kind of' correct: Only if he equates a requirement to inform the husband with a requirement to obtain the husband's consent.
"the Pennsylvania Abortion Control Act of 1982: 3205, which requires that a woman seeking an abortion give her informed consent prior to the procedure..."
"Informed consent" is a personal attribute, and is no way equivalent to obtaining consent from somebody else. It is the expectation that a person making a decision for themself, do so only after being informed of the possible consequences of that personal decision.

This does not change my basic opinion that Lindsey must goLast survey I saw, Lindsey Graham is the most popular politician in South Carolina.
Those outside of SC have NO say in the matter.

It's not just you....picking a gender over excellence is wrong, regardless of sex. Conservativism is all about excellence (and the striving towards) and conservative Constitutional and moral values.

Did you hear Imus on Friday talking about how to become a Christian?? Art Bell could have made a better case. He was talking to Tom Brokow.

McCain surely doesn't want any part of that gauntlet.Don't you just love a politician with no starch in his collar?

You are an idiot of DU dimensions. The racial and religious politics you engage in is no different than the worst of the RATS. Go to DU with that nonsense.
The greatest chief justice America ever had appears to strongly disagree with your anti-Christian bias:
"The American population is entirely Christian, and with us Christianity and Religion are identified. It would be strange indeed, if with such a people, our institutions did not presuppose Christianity, and did not often refer to it, and exhibit relations with it." John Marshall, in a letter to Jasper Adams, May 9, 1833, JSAC, p. 139. Marshall was Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court from 1801-1835.

Looks like a good pic to me on the surface. I hope that Harriet Meiers will continue on as WH Councel and that Alito sticks to the Constitution if confirmed. It is a fine pick, IMO. I will be calling my Senators this morning to request that they give this nominee their support, unless they find that the nominee will not faithfully apply the Constitution and the law.

A "bloodbath"? "Cataclysmic?" Sounds like Bush hit a home run with this one after an infield fly with Miers.
