Like a rubbernecker drawn to a train wreck, I am drawn towards that Bill Maher show. He’s one of those people you love to hate, and his show is most interesting when he has someone articulate on his show who opposes his point of view. So I watched when Christopher Hitchens was on recently. And I watched last night when Tony Snow was on.
Tony absolutely ripped Maher up.
He exposed Maher for the clueless fraud he is. And he did it with a smile. It was an amazing performance. If you have HBO, you have to watch it in reruns this week.

Bill Maher is politically igsignificant. Don't give him any coverage.
And that fact desperately needs to get through the MSM filter and to the public. So many folks in the MSM and the Lefty talk shows keep spouting this over and over until most people believe that Wilson is a great Patriot and GWB is the LIAR!! That is the agenda and the MSM does everything it can to assist Dean, Kennedy, Schumer, et.al.
Oh, your quoted text wasn't italicized so I thought the whole post was yours. Whoever said HBO subscriptions "make Bill Maher rich" is incorrect.

And Tony seems like such a nice guy! Is it my imagination, or his his bout with cancer put an edge on his radio performance?
Looks like Tony Snow's visit to that show got a lot of people talking about it. That is the purpose of these shows... generate an audience and keep it.
Every now and again some of the hosts of these shows actually thinks they matter.
And next week Tony Snow exposes Michael Moore as overweight.
That's one of the things I love about Tony Snow. He manages to stand up to the leftists while being so darn likeable about it. Barbara Olson had that talent as well.
Why do conservatives go on this show?

Ditto that. I'm a fan of Tony Snow, and he's a wonderful writer, too.
Tony's great , but matching an average conservative against an average liberal is like matching an NBA starter against a grade-school benchwarmer. Maher is biased and ignorant. It's one thing to be biased, but ignorance kills. Most libs I know are blissfully unaware of facts. Conservatives do a much better job of criticizing other conservatives than libs do. Case in point the Miers nomination. Most libs have no integrity which is why they always have their lips firmly planted against the posteriors of their lib leaders and never let go. Their lib heroes never make mistakes in their eyes. Hillary, Bill, Kerry, Gore etc. will never get the criticism from libs that Bush gets from conservatives.
Yes, I stated that Tony is great. But I was simply making a point that an average conservative should be able to crush an average liberal. What Snow did to Maher any conservative on this forum should be able to do. To be a liberal today is to be clueless.
