I question the ethics of not digging further into Wilson as well. This smells but Libby sure wasn't very smart if you ask me. It digusts me with Libby putting the VP and the WH in this position. He had to know he was lying (if he did) to the FBI and GJ. There is no excuse for that when you can use the Hillary "defense" -- "I cannot remember!"
Seriously, I think he should have resigned for being dumb enough to get involved with NY Times reporters.

Exactly, yet Gergen proclaims Bush's presidency is over....lol.
They really, truly wanted Rove's indictment.

Well, if Grand Juries are Secret, wouldn't you say most of the secret is out. Any people involved can GO BACK and create situations. New witness out of the woodwork?

Ok .. I might have been wrong in my thinking .. from what I'm getting from FNC .. The Reporters are saying that Libby told them about Wilson
But how do we know the reporters are telling the truth

I think a trial with discovery would be great. These additional counts allow for discovery and they should use it to the fullest extent possible. Time to go on the offense. Looks to be the only way this will all come out.

They really, truly wanted Rove's indictment.I'm so darn curious, I'd like to know what it was that Rove dumped into Fitzy's lap at the last minute.

The thing that bothers me most about this whole thing is the appearance of an operation run by the CIA against the White House.
That sort of thing is not healthy for the Republic.

Can't stand that worthless piece of trash Gergen. What a media whore he is. He checks the wind and decides which way to go. I would never hire him, ever!

The big question is will the charges make it past a judge and jury, which do require more than the proverbial ham sandwich.
Strange strategy by the White House, something I shouldn't be shocked about anymore... It was a nice speech by the President, but why did he make it? It should have been the Vice President out there accepting the resignation from his staff member, etc.
I know that it is unusual for a Vice President to work so closely with the President, but if there was a time to divorce the two in the minds of the people, it was now. Plus it would have been nice to see the Democrats have a heart attack. :)

Seriously, I think he should have resigned for being dumb enough to get involved with NY Times reporters. He should have taken a cue from Rove, who has said he doesn't give anyone diametrically opposed to him the time of day.
