I don't get it. Libby acted so foolishly, I just wonder why?

I don't either. It makes no sense.

True. Libby should only speak through a good criminal lawyer, and one who should say as little as possible. Silence from Libby's side would terrify the left.

What she got out of it is a crime was committed covering up a crime that wasn't commited. To her it makes no sense at all.

Is this all about a zipper problem on Libby's part, because I can't think of what else it could be.

Good. Maybe Libby ought to hire her and her husband.

I've been hoping for that.

" Fitzy made the mistake of letting his yapper run on autopilot for an hour '

The code of ethics for federal prosecutors, which addresses press conferences, limits them to reviewing the charges in the indictment-period.
They are not allowed to discuss the specific evidence so that the potential jury pool is not tainted.
Fitzgerald went way over the line.

I'd start by subpoenaing senior CIA officials and retired officials. (Some of them retired soon after this incident started to break.)

I'd subpoena Wilson and Plame next, then Russert, Cooper and Miller.

For starters.

Her key points: Fitz doesn't comfirm Pflame was COVERT.

He did NOT find on the ORIGINAL intent of the investigation- it was a crime committed during the investigation.

Her opinion is this is a CIA op against the administration.

CIA requested this investigation to cover their butts.

Still speaking...

Pardon me, but I'm a little confused. Fitzgerald kept saying that Libby is innocent until he is proven guilty. Then why does it feel as tho Libby has been tried, convicted and is on his way to 30 years in prison, plus owing more than a million in fines? Did I miss something?

I don't think HE thinks there will be a trial. He does not even seem confident that the charges are solid. He kept saying IF and presumed innocent, but he's the prosecutor.

I have no idea if it's true, but on another thread someone said they have Libby's computer, he thought he purged the hard drive, but they found stuff.
