Per Fox News...
LOL!!!
He's trying to convey that they're not quite done.
WTF?
He is exactly the tight-assessed, moralistc product of the Jesuits that I feared!
If true and no context, then yes Libby is guilty. It's pretty sleazy that Fitz has created a crime where none had existed, but the games Libby was playing make it clear he recalled exactly where the info came from. Of course, why would he say Russert told him if Russert never did and why would he lie about his notes? Maybe he did so before.
If what Fitzgerald is saying is accurate, Libby lied his ass off. That is all there is to it.
Agreed.
Which is minor in the grand scheme of things, but I am dissapointed in Freepers who try to rationalize lying.
Agreed.
Fitz is going way over the top, though. I mean, 5 counts???
Listen to those reporters laughing with Fitzgerald. All a big joke to them.
Now a bank robber got hit on the head with a feverish pitch...
I am waiting to see how this plays out but I think Libby was stupid to talk to reporters about a CIA employee and if he then lied to the FBI and GJ, he is dumb or arrogant and I don't think he is dumb.
He was sent out to investigate a possible murder, and caught somebody driving 10 mph over the speed limit through the crime scene.
I hadn't heard that.
And he said no.
I think what actually happened is that Novak referred to her merely as "Wilson's wife."
Then, two days later, David Corn named her and claimed she was covert.
He's taken a page from the Ronnie Earle book on how to bring down the Republican party.
This is some baseball game! ;-)
Good Golly, Miss Molly?
From his comments .. Seems he's been paying attention to the news reports
Corn should have been one of the WITNESSES at this GJ.

Mrs. Plame's identity as an undercover CIA officer was first disclosed to Russia in the mid-1990s by a Moscow spy, said officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity. In a second compromise, officials said a more recent inadvertent disclosure resulted in references to Mrs. Plame in confidential documents sent by the CIA to the U.S. Interests Section of the Swiss Embassy in Havana. The documents were supposed to be sealed from the... |
I guess if the news doesn't come out the way they want it, they just make it up. Here is a direct quote from Fitz:
Were not saying that Libby knowingly outted a covert agent.
Libby ought to file a libel suit against ABC. The behaviour in general of the press has been beyond irresponsible. All week they've been cheerleading for indictments, reporting that Rove was toast, etc.
