He lied to the GJ for whatever reason would get him -- dumb move and why would he protect Cooper and Miller? More to the point why would he protect Miller and put himself in jeopardy?

Not sure, he said he would as soon as the GJ was finished. If there are no other indictments aside from Libby, it's done today and Novak ought to be telling us something by the end of the day. Course, that's probably wishful thinking on my part.

It's not based solely on what comes out of the mouths of reporters. Although reporters would have zero reason to defend the administration against this charge, wouldn't you say?
Common sense tells you that if your wife is covert, you do not undertake a secret mission and come back and write about it in the NYT, anger the administration taking us to war, and risk exposing the family name.
Also, you are forgetting that I reminded you that it has been reported that after the twins were born, she refused overseas duty. How can she be covert without traveling overseas?
So, in an investigation to see who outed a CIA spook, Liddy is being indicted for not outing a CIA spook? See what you get when you put liberals in charge of something.
