Very interesting coloration on your friend. I have one (dark blue) my wife gave me in a clear glass vase with a plant on top. He will be 5 years old Christmas. I read somewhere that as far as life span for a Betta that is as far as it generally goes.

I missed this. I'm still trying to clean up after Rita! Trees are off the house but still in the yard!--after 5 weeks!

We had tornados along with Rita--and it came right over my home town. We got electricity a week ago Fri.--got home last Monday. Our entire town was without electricity for 3-4 weeks.

The Red Cross did not put our Zip Code in as a disaster zone because Katrina victims abused the system. They caught a lot of flack--blamed the media but there was no media.

FEMA did a good job here.

No Walmart for 3 weeks!--and we weren't a disaster zone.
