OOPS! I missed that post.
I retract my smile and have a different one.......(!)

Then you miss the Conservative position on these issues ~ when it comes to fundamental human rights, e.g. the right of a kid to live, the right of a kid to have parents (of different sexes), and so forth, it's insufficient for a candidate for the USSC to be expected to allow states to do whatever they wish.Attitudes like yours are exactly why we have legal abortion in all states. How could you logically defend a federal ban on abortions without conceding that Roe v. Wade is unconstitutional?
When you start ignoring the Constitution, even for conservative means, you go down an extremely dangerous road.

I walked into Best Buy and they had it. The first season is so fun! Just watched the one where they get busted for buying cocaine in Mexico. Their banter that first season was unparalleled. And of course, that closing shot of them kissing- which looks like a certain first couple. I'll post the screenshot later tonight.

I want abortion unlawful in all the states, territories and districts ~ both as a state matter and as a federal level matter.
Every Libertarian proposal on the matter leaves it legal in New York (if nowhere else).
So, you are blaming the current situation on me?
You are one weird dude.

>>He definitely withdrew his support after reading the '93 speech.<<
Thanks.
I knew he was going to have to, when I read the speech on withdrawal-eve.
He is an honorable man.
Now is the time for us all to pull together again after this "family feud" and get a good'un in there!

You Rockefellers have already lost in the marketplace of ideas, because you have to pretend you're conservative to even run as Republicans. And now you've lost the Senate, too. The gauntlet's finally slapped you in the kisser--no RINOs need apply to the SCOTUS. Now, y'all need to follow the advice you're so eager to dish out--suck it up and back the new conservative nominee, we're all part of the same big tent, yada yada yada. BRAVO! Well said!
We Conservatives have been BOHICA-ing for the damn "Big Tent" shills for years now...and it's been PROVEN that this "tolerance" is only one-way...theirs!
The "Big Tent" has turned into the "Big Gulp" of Kool-Aid that the "Moderate/LIEberals" have been brewing up in the back room!
Oh, what a surprise, so many of you won't or can't do that?!?! Well, don't let the big tent flap hit you in the ass on the way out to DU.
See, that's what happens when you let EVERYONE in...ideas and Principles are the first things to be jettisoned in favor of "tolerance and diversity"!
As I have said, the "Big Tent/Big Gulp" is nothing but the Country Club RINOs and Rockefellerites way to sieze back control from the Conservatives!
Ah for the good old days of Bob Michels running the House, and Dole running the Senate...where "Comity" ranked higher than Principles, and it was more important not to rock the DemonRAT boat, so you could go to all the best parties in Georgetown, and have your praises sung in the NYT/WaPo!
YEEEESH AWFUL!
Sorry, the "Big Gulp" ain't being swallowed, and either the Moderates/LIEberals work WITH us when we are in control, or they go the way of the Whigs as Conservatives bolt the (R) Party!

Well, you got the idea, but I mean specifically on the pending partial birth abortion case.
To: Cboldt
Another reason to avoid the Gonzales pick is his alleged advice re definition of torture of terror suspects. That would open up anti-military territory for Schumer, et al to pursue.

Again, a problem with the typical Libertarian ~ total ignorance of the Constitution. It's you who doesn't understand the Constitution. Criminal law was to be entirely left to the states, not the federal government. The Bill of Rights is there to protect against violations by government. Otherwise, every murder that occurs anywhere in the country would become a federal case.

Right from the beginning the Constitution set aside a piece of land strictly for the federal government ~ it's called Washington, D.C. these days.
They have federal criminal law there.
George Washington's first crisis involved taking the army out to collect whiskey taxes.
There are numerous elements about taxes in the Constitution, and they necessarily imply collection methods, use of law, courts, etc. Don't pay your taxes and we use federal criminal law on your tail.

The next nominee must necessarily be of a different branch of Christianity than any of the current Justices. So, what's Luttig?
BTW, any Pentecostals ever been nominated?

OH, I LOVE it!! I love the one where they're in jail together.
I'll have to check out our local Best Buy. If they have it, it will be in my possession in a matter of moments. :)
Can't wait to see the screenshot!
