Rep. Kirt Weldon is on Michael Savage's radio program, and he is implying Rumsfeld is the one blocking further investigation into Able Danger.
Weldon is fuming; says he personally (in a committee hearing) asked Rumsfeld about the investigation being blocked. Rumsfeld replied that he would 'get back to Weldon with a response.' Weldon says he still has gotten nothing from Rumsfeld.
Weldon to give a speech in a few moments this evening on the floor of the House. It should be aired on CSPAN this evening.
bttt
I don't suggest writing all Senators/Reps in their capacity as your representatives but as members of those committees. Write them in care of the committees. We can expand the contacts later but get the leadership on board first.
I don't know. The person could be simply trying to silence and punish a leaker. Even if he technically didn't leak classified info.
Savage will be playing parts of Weldon's speech

"Well it's encouraging the Weldon is thanking other members of Congress for their support. I thought Rep. Weldon was on his own."
Does everybody know that Lehman (on the 9/11 commission) told Weldon to expose whatever he could find - and if anybody could do it, Curt could.
Thank you, I will take the time to work my way through this then...or look for the transcript.
I've been away on vacation, so I have no idea why Sean said to not waste money buying Freeh's book. Heck, I didn't even know he said that. I'd like to know "why", as well.
Thx!
Vice Admiral Lowell E. Jacoby, USN, Director, DIA
Mr. Earl Sheck, Deputy Director for Analysis, DIA
Major General Michael E. Ennis, Deputy Director for Human Intelligence, DIA
Which Deputy Director is Weldon referencing?
We all anxiously await that transcript.
If you find it first, please ping. Will ping you if I hit it first.
Could be. I blew right past that one. It's a new position, but is General Counsel of the Office of the Director of National INtelligence. Reported out on July 26. No. 239, for those following with a scorecard.
I don't know. But once I forward the transcript....I might be able to get a tidbit or two from my email list.
Or not :P
Same here, Txsleuth. But you're right about this being too important to gloss over, regardless of who might get implicated. If Rummy has not been forthcoming about this, or allowed DIA to persecute these guys and prevented their story from being told, then he needs to be held accountable like anyone else. But, like you, I pray it's not so.
Savage is not running it consistently unfortunately, is cutting in and out, but we're getting some of it at least.
I'm wondering if Rush will have a video or audio available on his website. He does that sometimes for special speeches. And .. Weldon is the featured interview in the Limbaugh Letter next month.

That speech was one for the books. We all need to keep this to the front burner.
Please ping me, when it's up. Thanks!
