In my circle of conservatives there is only one reason they distrust Bush....it's because of his spending habits. He has not vetoed a bill in three sessions of congress.
I read somewhere that the last president to do that was John Q. Adams.
So sorry to hear about that, have been through similar several years ago, it's very intrusive and maddening when you know it's someone who lives close by.
