After reading so much on this topic here, the trend seems to be: nothing. No signs of crimes being committed so far. I wouldn't doubt the Bush administratrion knew all along the media and investigators were barking upo the wrong tree this whole time. Kind of makes it all worthwhile knowing the media were the real dupes. All those people saying they knew Rove and Libby were 'going to be indicted' is laughable.

The media is clamoring for an indictment even if the evidence doesn't support it! Imagine that.

the Bush administration were yelling "Please don't throw us in the briar patch".

If you had watched TV this weekend, you'd swear Rove was already in jail. How stupid will the dinosaur media look if Rover is exonerated?

Her story exonerates the Bush administration and it should put the focus where it belongs - on Wilson, his wife and the duplicitous bureaucrats in the CIA.

Good Heavens! This is just horrible news for the Democrats. What will they do now? This is just so so horrible! :>

Real stupid, but they'll ignore it and act like they knew he was innocent all along

I sure hope that the media is not given special immunity from grand jury testimony. That would be WRONG.

Yes, the MSM will ignore anything exonerating Rove. The people who get their news from the MSM will never know.

Five years from now they'll still be saying Bush and his bunch were the leaks. The truth and facts don't matter.

Libby apparently disclosed some things, were these supposed to be secret?

It's not really a story about Bush officials Lewis Libby and Karl Rove and their conversations with the press. Rather, it's a story about a CIA bureaucracy working to undermine the Bush administration through the media and cover up for its own mistakes.

This guy nails it. Good article. Unfortunately, it's from GOPUSA and his take won't get mentioned or discussed beyond its boundaries and places like FR. Of course, I don't expect the 'free press' to do anything except continue to cover up their doo-doo.

DITTO. I'm sure this will be on the front page of today's New York Times, huh?

Anyone that is stupid enough to talk off the record to NYT reporters needs to be fired.

I'm not so sure the media will look stupid if Rove is exonerated. They've succeeded in doing their damage by innuendo and repetition. When this story dies, they'll simply move on to the next fabricated Bush Administration scandal.

With their biased coverage, the mainstream media has totally ignored the party who I believe is guilty in this mess - Joe Wilson. In fact, they've elevated him to Sultan of Umpapamaumau status. The bottom line is: Joe Wilson, former Gore aide and Kerry campaigner, is a traitor who attempted to undermine a President during wartime. His lies, repeated as gospel by the media, have weakened our resolve and emboldened those we fight.

But Billy Kristol has been wetting his pants talking about "several" high level White House staffers that are going to be indicted.

The story may have been false but accurate! ;-)

Super article. I had long been wondering about the nepotism aspect. So the CIA operative goes, "Well, my hubby likes to hang out and drink tea with folks in Niger, I'm sure he'll get us the straight dope." Huh?!?

*This is important because Plame's role in recommending him for the Africa trip, as documented by the Senate Intelligence Committee, possibly violated federal nepotism laws.*
