Yeah. I bet she eats her alive. She'd be right too. One has to wonder, why we went through all of the trouble of winning both houses and voting for Bush if he wasn't going to nominate strong conservatives like WE (the ones who put them and him in office) wanted.

I guess Democratic senator Zell Miller might disagree with your protest. As I recall he did a pretty good job of telling us what it meant to be a conservative. Don't you agree?

I heard Dick Cheney telling Rush that we (conservatives) will NOT be disappointed in her, and I trust him too.
For the President and for the people who know her, this is not a 'gamble.' I believe in the American legal system.......she is not guilty until proven so, and nothing I've seen about her indicates guilt at all.
Actually, if you look at it from the conservative standpoint, it reveals a lot of courage to buck what he knew would be an initial conservative skepticism to pick the person he really thought was best.
He knows the left is going to hate Miers. If you think Schumer and Reid are being honest about this and the President isn't, I have serious doubts about your judgement.

You are absolutely right, I'd forgotten about Zell Miller, I'd bet you can count on one hand the number of counterexamples to my assertion.

Well for years Jim Robinson told us it's all about the Supreme Court Justices.
The very reason for the existence of Free Republic is over. The entire movement has been had.
It's over, we lost, our ways will be only known through history books in a few generations.
Normally I'd be happy to see Ann eat anything... But I'd rather she would feast on the other side.
