That small boat makes more sense than the "Spirit of Ethan Allen" I posted on two links above.
More sense given the story the boat overturned due to the wake of another boat.

Yes. And Fox News is reporting it was a senior citizens' group, which could explain the fatalities.

Any idea of how tired I am of hearing the 'Bush's fault' accusation being made by libs in the press?

Yes. And Fox News is reporting it was a senior citizens' group, which could explain the fatalities. It makes it worse... but there isn't anyone that can swim long fully clothed without a lot of survival training. It becomes serious really fast no matter what.

Must have been a huge wake, that is not a small boat at all.

Gotta be pretty cold water this time of year up there. After a warm summer lake temperatures remain high well into the fall ... in the spring Lake George remains cold well into late May early June.

Lake Champlain? Did 'Champ' do this?
To: CedarDave
Nagin is being flown in as a rescue consultant. He's good with water.

I know it's not a laughing matter but the dope on FNC asked the person who helped with the rescue if the Coast Guard was there helping.
After a moment of silence he said there are NO coast guard on the lake.
Sheesh.

I'm sure life vests were on the boat, but haven't heard if the passengers were wearing them. It's a good point because I know Lake George can be a real "stickler" for safety issues, ex. requiring 2 adults poolside for hotel guests under a certain age.
To: LdSentinal
I've found out it's not Champlain, but lake George.
