"now its Mary L." Well maybe she should start copying landreiu. Since she realized her pie-hole mispoke in blaming the federal response for her little state's ineptitude.

"I can imagine some greedy type putting in 8 rows of benches seating 3 on either side of an aisle. The boat pictured is too small for that many passengers. . . I imagine that these tours were not free and I imagine that 50 people paid more than 49. There are greedy people everwhere.<<

I hope some valid information catches up to your imagination. . .and that some facts will soon emerge and speak for themselves re this tragedy.

Pics of Lake George at 111 and the Ethan Allen at 137. Syracuse TV reporting 21 deaths of seniors from Michigan on a Canadian-booked tour. Prayers for all who have suffered from this tragedy

Dang!

My mother's family is from the Adirondack Mountains; beautiful country...I've visited the Finger Lakes when I lived in New York.

Prayers for everyone involved!

Got that!

I can't take much more of it.

If they can't think of something original to say, how about just reading without posting a comment?

It has gone far beyond the tired old 'beebers', 'stunned', 'moose', 'cheese', 'I am shocked, I tell you, shocked', 'but, but, but....'

I wish the mods would begin pulling these posts. These dumb comments add nothing to the discussion, and make one wish there would be a way to delete them.

I am sick of it. It wastes bandwidth.

I happen to AGREE with Hair : can you think of something which might ADD to the discussion?

If not, perhaps just reading without posting nonsensical, and tired phrases would keep you away from some of the flames sure to be coming your way.

The wheel chairs that the seniors used made the boat heavier. It seems that I remember hearing that there were too many on one side of the boat.

There are several on these threads who do it routinely.

It adds nothing to the discussion.

Yet they defend their right to do so, as if has added value somehow to the thread.

I guess we simply have to 'call their hand' when we see it until it begins to stop.

Can we add "series" and "hugh" to that list, too?

Way up in the thread a picture is posted depicting a double-decked superstructure; had the passengers been concentrated above deck and toward one side a simple capsize could have been the product of list and lift, yes.

Some of the seniors needed wheel chairs or walkers.

That wasn't that boat in question here. The boat that capsized was a much smaller boat. There are pictures posted somewhere upthread.

I don't know, but I'm sure that however tired you are, it is Bush's Fault.

You put 50 people on that dinghy and you are overloading the thing by about 30 people.
