The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
I'm scanning the news. Still not much about it. No flash on drudge yet.

This is blasts from the past night. Remember the guy who killed his father in law while swinging at a bat with a 3-pound(?) hammer?
"I am surprised people did not get cell phone calls informing them of what happened outside the game."
I'm sure many did. Good point.
ROFL
On an earlier thread on this topic, one FReeper was actually admonishing Guiliani for refusing the donation. After a few relatively civil postings, I called him out for being a Saudi apologist and provided proof of the Saudi royals' tacit support of global Wahabbi terrorism. Didn't receive a reply though. Sometimes I really wonder if some Americans have learned ANYTHING after 911.
Read my posts. I provided you with the answer. I will not entertain this nonsense from you further.
They search every backpack, purse, etc when you go into the stadium. Have for several years now...
"no one commits suicide by placing a pipe bomb in their own backpack. and a pipebomb level explosion is not an AQ signature."
We don't know that it was a pipebomb. Here's what we do know:
There WAS an explosion in a stadium filled with 80,000 people.
There WAS a second explosive device found.
People ARE being kept away from a certain area of the stadium.
Homeland Security, FBI, etc. are on the scene.
Officers at the scene refuse to say whether or not this was a terrorist related "incident".
Ramadan is 3 days away...there were the Bali explosions today, there was an "incident" in DC last week, the terrorists have warned they will go on the offensive against us during Ramadan...the MSM doesn't tell us the truth, officials are always told in certain situations to avoid panic.
Isn't that enough for all of us?
Jacob Lapp? We all know how those Amish dudes are.
Better get over here. Your name is being taken in vain!
What's ELF?
There have been several calls for violence lately from the left. ELF. Antiwar types. Somebody may be trying to renew the violence of the 60's.
Yes. There is a building on the UW campus that is supposed to be dedicated to biochem studies. Close to the lake? It was very controversial last year, but haven't heard anything lately.
I'm with you. I'm aware of the Hamas cell in OK and I don't believe the OKC bombing was just those two either.
Emily Jones (reporter) on phone live with FSN and she says one death but she says they (police) did a sweep and found a 2nd bomb and set it off.
Said police avoided her question but I could not hear what the question was. Sorry.
Goodnight all...
the explosion was not IN the stadium from the accounts I am reading here.
Still nothing on Fox, CNN, or MSNBC.
