That would be my first thought since it happened on campus.

There have been several calls for violence lately from the left. ELF. Antiwar types. Somebody may be trying to renew the violence of the 60's.

Both ELF and ALF were recently listed by the FBI as terror groups. IIRC

I know from a couple of friends that are involved in medical research that these groups have become even more of a threat then before.
