The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
The first report on Anthrax also said...it occurs in nature. Relax!!
I was watching ksn 3, which station were you watching?
Our "news" here sux....anything and everything to ensure no one thinks it's a terrorist. Worthless POS's need to get a real job.
Actually all the accounts I've seen in the news from various bombings throughout the world, they generally know something pretty quick; gender, ethnicity, approx. age etc. Unless this person was really blown to bits.
Why choose to blow oneself up unless trying to get on the front page or kill other people, IMHO.
Cable news is a joke. It has been put to bed on a Saturday night. Those idiots troll for car chases on weekdays, but obviously if the news doesn't happen to fit their schedule, oh well.
The bloodlines between Hollywood and Washington run deeper than most people realize.
More's the pity.
Kake 10
In contact with Norman police and terrorism task force in DC. Still saying they need to thourghly investigate to know the persons intentions.
(my comments .... this guy is an idiot )
Second set of explosives were detonated for sure. Reporter asks him about it... and he's spinning. Says more than likely the secondary were probably the bomb squad just blowing up a backpack without getting inside it first???
This guy is clueless or he's covering up.
Nothing known about any accomplises....
Boren's statement is that it is an individual.
now he's talking about what law enforcement has done in the past years to make gameday safe and be prepared for issues if necessary....
I guess they are careful with their hands because they want to fondle the 72 virgins. Mor0ns.
Yup--these press releases are very suspect.
I never heard of this kind of suicide on a college campus before.
And the timing--with 80,000 at a sporting event--well, it's mighty suspicious.
These Islamic creeps like to do things in threes.
I hope there is extra security at all sporting events tomorrow.
"Nothing to be worked up over"

How do they know it's a suicide (not terrorist) unless the guy left a note, told someone, or someone witnessed it? We'll see.
Remember that weird case where a guy strapped a bomb to another guy and it went off while they were figuring out what to do?
Combined reports from newsok.com (KWTV-9), koco.com (Ch.5)
and kfor.com (Ch. 4)...explosion about 7:45 this evening,
sounded like the RuffNecks guns but a bit louder, crowd didn't seem to notice much. Don't know if the suicide was a man or woman, but it was a pipe bomb.
Found a second device and detonated it. Post-game live shots show no panic and lots of fans are still lingering in the area. University and Norman PD officials say their emergency plans were immediately implemented and are working well. They are seeking possible witnesses and continuing their sweep of the area at this time.
Homeland security=bureaucratic cluelessness
Barbecue is the art of slow smoking, grilling rather uses propane.
Charcoal and wood do not explode, except in flavor.
"That is very odd.
What is the likelyhood of that particular bacteria alone showing up high enough to be detected, and no others?"
Yes, I agree.
Where's FEMA ? /s
